ThruNite TC20 (Compact XHP 70.2) / Full review

Hi robo, can you compare a photo between tc20 and wowtac a3. Thanks.

Left to right ….A3S / (Head Extended) , TC20 , Thorfire VG10

What a stunner. And super compact. Looks like this light is definitely MVP material. But why on earth the generic bland name “TC20”? This light deserves a much cooler name. :sunglasses:

The shorter cells will work , However I did notice with the flattop unprotected cells I tried , good bump of the tail end or head end will cause a quick flicker.
If you do not jar the light hard they work fine though.

I quit questioning the names they give a lot of these lights and accessories a long time ago , as some of them get really weird.
Better TC20 than Short Bright or something like that though……lol

The included Thrunite button top is 69.4mm (including the button)

  • 67.85 Flat top Xtar 5000mAh (protected) works
  • 65.30 Flat top LiitoKala 5000mAh (unprotected) also works

So your cell will work

.

My light flickers with a good bump even with the included Thrunite button top cell.

Yeah, they should’ve called it the Mk2 :smiling_imp:

Thanks for posting this photo, I didn’t know about the A3S before I saw this, I’m highly interested, think I’d like to try that one.

Thanks. Tc20 look compact.

TC20 coupon still working
Just ordered one
Thank you for review

Hmmmm………They extended the sale I guess?

Always glad to do the reviews.

May be….
Iwas a little bit glad :money_mouth_face:

No need to hurry, Plenty of time!

I guess the extended the sale to compete with Acebeam EC50 III

The TC20 is already $46 less than the EC50 Gen II or Gen III , with both at regular price.

With 20% off , or an extra $17 off , the TC20 is hands down the best choice in my opinion , since they are both about equal in size , output and performance.

I forgot to mention i received my tc20 in cool white… its a very good light and Would even consider as a EDC light for me. Thrunite are very reliable and user interface is awesome… just the way i want it.

I wish thrunite use 26650 in their tactical light.

I’ve always felt $100+ on a single XHP50/70 light with boost driver (single cell) is completely bonkers, no matter how premium a brand is. Thrunite’s pricing makes the TC20 a much more lovable light to me.

Yeah, I think tc20 not compete with ec50, thrunite lights are more reliable and with a low price, only a crazy guy wil prefer ec50 :stuck_out_tongue:

If I’m not wrong acebeam had a problem with baterry carrier, this will solved or those costumers where screwed? :zipper_mouth_face:

For a tactical light I do like the Acebeam x30 (20700 cell): Acebeam L30 High Lumen Flashlight|AceBeam® Official Store | Flashlights, Tactical Lights

Just ordered the TC20 to complete my collection. I swear this will be my last flashlight purchase this year.
