Haikelite MT09R Test/Review Beam video footage.

The sun has not set

The hotspot size is as big as my Olight M31. But the brightness from the hotspot to the end of the spill is more gradual.

Like I mentioned only 5 MT09R's in 35 high left the factory with that driver and those still had a light output of 5k lumen...

And the chances of 2 of those 5 lights ending up suddenly being talked about on tje same day in just a couple of hours of each other.

The first one has no means of testing anything but still somehow named a lumen output. Which is pretty close to the 5k that particular driver was pushing out. The secobd one we are not seeing and those must be some close and shiny cillings.

I will wait a few more days and get one from the production run and test it with actual measuring equimpment and see how well it performs.

All sarcasm aside. If you have an MT09R 35 high Dale has asked where they were acquired from.

The 5 samples should not be easily available and they want to locate them so they can have the correct driver installed.

If you will contact Dale he will arrange for tthe driver replacment.

Thanks very much

yeah hot spot look tight.

i wonder how much throw compare to MT07

I got it from a China supplier and they are sending me another one with updated drivers. Thanks for clarifying.

With the corrected driver it should throw about 400 meters more...

I'm still trying to figure out where these came from..

I don't even have any yet and I have a lot more than 1 ordered.

Contact Dale... Haikelite Original is his username on here and he will get that driver swapped out.

Care is required when doing a ceiling bounce test for output measurement. The D4 is a significantly floodier light than the MT09R XHP35, which could result in non linear relation between lux reading and lumen output.

I think this should be “HaikeLite Official”.

Thanks for the video Jason! :+1: You’ve got an amazing view there!
… And yeah, that hotspot is tight!

Taken from smart phone auto mode.

MT09R 3 x XHP35 Hi CW

^ Looks pretty much identical to me (unfortunately).

Hold on:

Is this OK? Shouldn’t you have fixed settings for both shots? With auto mode your camera is going to correct for the brighter light (if it’s brighter).

wow looks awesome thanks for the pics and video!

Thanks for the video, dont tease your neighbors too much, hehe.

I on out bounds , not have a good camera.

Pok maybe u can do some beamshots with your phone ?

Yeah, im not sure about those shots either, but thanks anyway Pok!

Both shots should have the same fixed settings, otherwise you cant compare it really. So we have 5000 MT07 lumen vs 7500 MT09R lumens. The light intensity (beam pattern) isnt comparable cause of the cameras auto mode, but range is at least a bit. In the distance, i think, the MT09R is just a bit brighter than the MT07, which is rated at 750m. So maybe, if this MT09R also uses the old driver and puts out about 5000 lumens, this would explain the pictures. And you are from China, so maybe you got one of those samples with faulty drivers?

Otherwise, if the light is fine, im not impressed with the range yet. But we have to wait for pictures made with fixed settings in manual mode first.

@ Pok: Maybe, if possible, could you repeat those shots with manual camera mode?

That packaging is atrocious. Hope the box was well protected but judging by the condition, it wasn’t. The light itself looks magnificent.

My smartphone cannot set in manual.

MT07 CW sliced dome 4S version : 750lux
MT09R 3 x XHP35 Hi CW : 740lux

Ah ok, but thanks for taking a look!

Hm is this sliced dome from the factory or did you do it yourself? I think those two lights should not be comparable by lux values. The MT09R should have way more lux, it should throw over 1000m, compared to the 750 from the MT07.

No way for MT09R XHP35 Hi over 1000m
my MT07 sliced dome is around 120,000cd. (If I remember, I sliced it myself )
I have all my database flashlights over 500+ .
I on out bounds, no tools .

Hm then you maybe have on of the faulty units (with only about 5000 lumen, would match to the pictures you have shown, both look to have the same brightness there) or Haikelites range information for the light is incorrect.

If i may ask, where did you get your light from?
