Copper Slide Lantern Flashlight

Oh wow…awesome mind-boggling build :+1:

Thanks mate. No notes, I just sit with the materials I have and think about it for a while then start building and see what happens

WOW, Very Nice.
That folding loop fits perfect in the tail, rechargeable is sweet  :+1:
Gonna wet sand/frost the lantern lense?
What did ya use for battery.
Curious if you did anything to the charge board to change current or anything else. Charge indicators?

Wow. All of your custom flashlights are amazing!

This light is a beauty!

Another piece of art from the master !
The combination of flashlight and lantern surely has already been made, but yours is of course way more stylish

Amazing amount of features

Just plain crazy.

:open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:
This is pure beauty :exclamation: Incredible work CRX

Very cool :+1:

:+1: CRX
And to imagine you basically made the host from plumbing pipe and a tubing cutter. Nice.

Beautiful workmanship.

That is beautiful… :+1:

Another awesome light CRX! I like looking at your pics to try to figure out how you did it.

Thanks for the comments guys

I might do later but like the way it looks just now.
Aspire 1100mAh cell with protection circuit.
I left the charger board at stock current and potted it with UV glue to carry the indicator lights to the external shell.

Bravo !

Really nice build, great work :+1:

Just awesome.

Did you take inspiration from other work or is this completely from the mind of the maker?

Andy.

Another stunner, great build CRX.

This was a sort of combination of things. I had considered previously to make a light with opposing LED’s like that and when I saw this cheap flashlight it gave me the idea to make a dual lantern/ flashlight with a pre made driver.
I also wanted to put to use the copper tubes I was kindly sent.

There are similar designs to this already out there, I doubt any new design is really “new” these days though I do try

I had made the carbon fibre extending cob lantern a while ago which is very compact but powered only by a 10440 cell so thought about using those cobs again in this light but that would have made it too long so went with the XM-L2’s instead giving an exposed window of 20mm instead of 50mm or so.

I am thinking about an 18650 copper cob lantern though
