are they raised a bit or flat tops the protected?

This is the version I bought. The photo shows the flat top:

well that photo doesnt show that great in that angle… thats why i asked  its weird because the 5200mahs are raised so these arent then? as i would use them in convoy l6 they cant be flat…

Just made a rather irritating discovery with the protected 6000mAh cells: they are very wide. None of my four will go into my Convoy BD06, yet the protected 5200mAh version fits and has enough space to rattle.

Specs:

Keeppower 5200mAh protected 26650:
26.4mm × 69.5mm

Keeppower 6000mAh protected 26650:
26.8mm × 69.0mm

I was aware of the sizes before I ordered, but I’m having trouble figuring out how 0.4mm is going to make that much of a difference. However, it’s going to be a few days before I can get my hands on my digital caliper and check the measurements for myself.

Fortunately, the 6000mAh cells fit my Convoy X3, so I don’t have to send them back. I’ll just order a couple more 5200mAh cells for the BD06. I hope the BD01 I have coming in has enough clearance for the 6000mAh cells, though.

Edit: the 6000mAh cells don’t fit my BD01, either, but the 5200mAh ones are fine. I’m definitely going to need some more 5200mAh cells!

This is an expensive niche product, whereas Lii-50/INR26650-50A are for sale nearly everywhere online with a price the Lord likes. So, no way.

Also, its capacity statement is probably a sort of lie. Lots of battery rewrappers and even battery manufacturers lie about this with figures you may not see even following their particular datasheet testing methods. Seems a lot of people blindly love in lies, just not me.

Cheers ^:)

This one came from nkon.nl

Wow. Can’t wait to see the discharge curves.

I should have read this before I ordered four protected 6000mAh’s after getting a confirmation from Nkon that these cells are under 70 mm. and make contact in series.
Received them yesterday and found out that they are too wide for my Convoy L2 and L6 :person_facepalming:
But they will go into the Imalent DN70.

The image doesn’t work.

Works for me, it’s a problem on your end then.

shame they dont even fit in l6… bah :frowning:

What’s the possibility they have more than one wrap, and will fit if the outer layer is stripped?

I’m not sure but I guess that you won’t see the pictures if you doesn’t have an account to taschenlampen-forum

Can’t see the pict…

I’m sorry for the bad link. I’m really fighting getting an image uploaded

Re-uploaded the pictures at TLF for those of you who don't have a TLF account:

Cheers

Thank you Barkuti

Discharge current: 10A

So description to the first image: Comparison between Shockli 26650 5500mAh and Keeppower IMR26650 6000mAh. They seem to use the same cell (PLB 55A).

Second image: Direct comparison of some of the most interesting 26650 cells. The Imalent cell is protected, the others are not.

I would sum up that PLB 55A is a great new cell for flashlights.

By the way, there are hints at TLF that the protected Keeppower 6000 show weak performance.

Another helpful post from you!

Thanks

It’s interesting how it’s the same cell as the shockli.
They just rate their battery at a lower discharge current to put a higher mah rating on it.
I guess it’s not bad to have two options to buy though, since it’s the best 26650.

Using one of these in my Rofis MR70, fits fine.
