Non Flashlight orders/received

Pete, I have that same charger as well as a couple of 5 port desktop models. Great products.

Just ordered a Knipex 8603300 12-Inch Plier. I should have it in a couple of days

Update: Just ordered the 7 inch model as well.

Another update: The 12ā€ came today. What a handy super high quality tool!

One more update: I ordered the 5ā€ model

Received some V LED strips and made this : back-lighted stairs !

I bought another some tool this month, thats my expensive hobby

A budget for sure, after my dws780 and d25831k but I made money with them

Now that is nice!

The lighting looks great. Nice place you have there!

Got this desk lamp with magnifying glass. Trust Banggood to send me a Euro power supply version, even though they shipped it to me out of their US warehouse. :rage:

Yesterday picked up a Amscope microscope for soldering and inspecting:

Today received a Xiaomi Wowstick:

and a Broadlink RM mini 3 to expand my already existing Broadlink line up:

Wow man, I need one of those. Iā€™ve been soldering for about 50 years and my eyesight hasnā€™t been getting better if you know what I mean.
Where did you get it, and how much did it cost?

Glenn

I am not even 50 yet but I started using reading glasses this year and it ainā€™t getting easy to solder these small SMDā€™s.

I got mine second hand, but it is not used much. Here in the Netherlands these are pretty expensive, but since you are in America it is cheaper from Amscope directly:

Great to pair that Wowstick with this:

ā€¦.and though Gearbestā€™s product page Q and A about the Wowstick says they are not compatible with it, I found them not to be true: their bits can used on either tool!

Thanks for the advice, my Wowstick has 18 bits already, but I will keep eye on the Wiha set, if it gets cheaper I will grab one.

SpAwN, thanks my friend. Just ordered it from amscope for $189.89 US dollars. Iā€™m sure it will be an asset to my hobby. BTW, Iā€™ve been a professional in electrical/ electronics repair for well over 30 years before I retired, plus another 20 or so years before that being a hobbyist building electronic kits from Heathkit, Dynakit, etc.

Hmm, I keep seeing these critters advertised on GB.

What, precisely, makes them wow-worthy?

You are welcome, wow that was quick  There are better models but the prices are sky high and this one is on discount for a nice price, I hope you like it, I was looking for one for a while, since I registered here I started looking harder and finally got one.
I opened a topic here: Bought a Amscope SE400-Z, need advice for LED upgrade. about itā€™s light, but I have some other ideas for the boom stand, it pretty big and it is taking a lot space on my desk, but getting one of these is too expensive for couple times I solder in a month, besides that model is twice as much here in the Netherlands. If you wear glasses, you can get different eye pieces, 10X is best for soldering, you can ask Amscope for advice, they have good after sales.

Oh I am a electrical field engineer (fancy name for a electrician with papers) started working at my 17th and studied till my 26th in the evenings so I am working as electrician for 27 years now. Electronics is my hobby along with some other technical stuff.

I didnā€™t found out yet, just got it today
It suppose to be handy while repairing a laptop or tablet with gazillion screws for the covers and the PCBā€™s
I got it with the code of bilakos 2 weeks ago, but he has new code today again:

Hmm.

ā€™Cause I got those little rubbery blocks that fit 20-30 of those bits (flat, phillips, torx, hex, etc.), and even bigger kits with way more, including security bits, and most times they include a handle to use them manually if need be.

Some are purely manual, others have a built-in ratchet, you name it. So I figured there was something particularly clever about the ā€œwowstickā€ to make it wow-worthy. No?

Let us know how you like itā€¦

Ordered an YZXstudio ZY1270 USB tester. I have several inexpensive testers and they all give different readings. This one is supposed to be accurate from what the reviews say.

Got a refurb R7000. Already installed Tomato on itā€¦

That looks amazing. I need a big screen, as I use my phone far more for Internet and messaging than for calls. Currently got an Xperia 4G tablet and very happy with it, but Iā€™ve been looking for a replacement for the day when it stops working, or the battery no longer hold a charge. Not sure if the OnePlus is within my price range, though.

This is the Arduino Pro Mini that I received today - didnā€™t realise how tiny it is!

Got a Meyle water pump, the old one was fine but once I am in thereā€¦ might as well replace everything I can get my hands on
(redoing the entire cooling system)
