How does the Romisen compare with the XinTD C8? Are the brightness and throw comparable?

Highly recommended, 4,5/5 and the half point is gone because of some debris, PWM and 5-mode blinky.
If you can take these things, it´s a good one. Anyway if compared to C8 it´s a no-brainer, if grip rings or general looks don´t argue against it.
Really a better overall quality or else all my 4 C8´s have just been bad ones.
First thing I noticed, this has real looking anodizing and not that paint feel like C8´s...

Better to make it from thicker aluminun, brass or copper?
Does it make any sense to do it in first place? (add heft to pill for heat)

yeah I used flash10 when I got mine..had some DD points also..total price was 18$..i'm happy to here about the battery fitting tightly and the large heat contact area..I will use this on my bike and may order another for dual beams..
Ok, got rants here:
When I keep it on table on High for say 15min, it looses modes and clicks on only to High.
It finds modes again when it has cooled down for about 10-20seconds. Modes function still, no problem.
Weird, would have expected a burnt driver but no. Has anyone had this kind of features in other lights?
Anyway, I was going to change it (PWM) to either KD V2 3A driver with 2-3 modes OR to 105 with 2,8A.
Asked today from a lathe worker, he is able to make heftier pills if needed :)

pill looks pretty big...maybe pot the driver w/ thermal epoxy
maybe pop the driver and check the solder joints..make sure there's no short or anything that might short when everything gets hot and expands..I know I had a driver in a p60 xm-l that lost high mode and all it took was me reseating the driver for it to be fixed..something was shorting causing the weird behaviour..

Driver and view from inside the pill:
Driver itself, notice those two yellow components piggy-backed. This is unfamiliar driver to me.
Leads are very short, you can lift driver under half an inch...
After all, there was not too much of paste! Very thin layer, very, very hard to remove...
Had to bend the star a bit to get it coming.
Notice how the pill has wrong placing for leads, its too tight, should be a couple millimeters wider gap between holes and they are not centered either.
On PCB side of the pill, there is a small non-aluminum ring to help soldering.
The wall next to LED is about under 2mm thick. It COULD be about 18mm thick if needed...
I´m going probably to make a new pill for this, spacing of those holes is bad...
Let me know, if you are interested in a pill for this, I´ll ask to make some more if someone wants. Will charge only actual price.
I think I will ask it to be made for 20mm star with better tolerances for emitter centering, better fix for holes and added heft.
Probably copper.
I think I will use that "helper" Glue to get that driver back some day. :)
Got mine today and the driver has no memory..not very good..I always have to cycle through all 5 modes to get to high..if I leave it off for a minute it starts in high but still disappointed with the driver..it pulls hard 4.2a and med is 2.1a but the memory thing is quite the letdown..
