Bonus comment: give 17-22mm boost drivers.

I am still working on it. Had to get through the holiday rush...the 17mm is working well in my light, just need to make a few final tweaks then order boards.

Hi Richard!

If you ever find any neutral tint SST-40s for sale, please get them in stock ASAP! Great emitter… just a bit cooler than I like.

ALWAYS have had excellent transactions with MTN. Latest was two Emisars. Great shop & people. Lots of helpful advice too!

I agree! As far as I know, they still have't produced anything warmer than 6500K. There still are no order codes for them.

Sliced they are pretty much the ultimate C8 thrower LED IMO.

Thanks!

Hey richard, i see you have MTN-1504 Ultimate Zoomie Flashlight. Can you build one with the oslon black flat led ?

The 2x XPL HI I ordered arrived quickly and safely. One has already found a new home in a convoy S2+

Looks like your return address is in what used to be no-mans-land when I was growing up in SLC. That valley has filled in, a lot.

Maybe in the next few months, but unfortunately right now there is not time.

Sure. I know you are busy as alwAys. I also believe you are building a bunch of PFET driver for skylumen54 and other stuff. I understood.

Sliced and polished?

I’ve made two purchases from MTN and both had lightning-fast shipping and were exactly what I ordered. Just finished my first custom build.

I’ll continue to buy as many parts from you I can for the more than likely future builds I will be doing.

I enjoy browsing everything on your website as well, so just wanted to say thanks.

Yes. Wet sanded down to 2000, then polished.

Thanks!

That looks great, Richard. I wonder how the time/effort compares to when I shaved-dedomed-sliced mine. May I inquire about your polishing method?

I put this one in a Convoy L2 with one of your FET+1 drivers… amazing combination!

Slice smooth, wet sand with 1000 grit, then 2000 grit, then 3000+ grit polishing compound. Really, the polishing probably isn't needed most of the time since the sliced dome is already pretty smooth, but it looks nice when it is super shiny. Obviously when you are doing 2000+ grit cleanliness is super important---any grit can leave much deeper scratches than that.

I don't like to use any chemicals when doing the dedomes; in the past it seemed to affect the phosphor somewhat giving some extra tint shift and unknown longterm longevity. I use only heat (traditional soft domes like XM-L2) or a sharp blade.

would you ever consider selling any of these dedomed LEDs?

Yes. They are for sale right now on our website.

Any idea why the new 5500 shockli batteries have a new skin on them?
The first three I bought had this nice red label on them:

Now they have a plan white and black one with giant text:

My 3 new batteries don’t match the first three :frowning:

I dont know… where did you buy it?? I buy my shockli from mtn. The last batch i received were red label ( top photo).
