I cant make any orders with DX

Every time it goes to the check out after going to paypal it gets a error.

You are probably better off. I placed an order and paid via paypal on 1/13/2012 figuring I had a week before the holiday. All items were marked in stock. I just now got confirmation that my order had shipped 2/16/2012. Over a month to process with a week before the holiday and 16 days after before they got off their ass and sent it.

My advice is, if it is available anywhere else, buy it there first. DX has gotten so they lie about "In stock" items and their already poor delivery times just keep getting longer.

Yikes, I just bought a $3.00 lighter from them...I hope its okay.

An order I placed on 1/4/12 was partially shipped. I canceled the light that didn't show up. They just refunded the entire order...sweeeeet!! The light was a Trustfire TR-1200 and I found it here in the states and got it priority mail in 2 days and it was only $2 more than DX wanted. If you can find an item elsewhere...buy it.

Nice find Pooh-Bah!!

It is universilly known that DX have slow shipment. The cheap price attract us to buy the cool gagets here. The slow shipment trouble us a lot. I just see a video about DX. The title is DX never forget to speed up the dispatch You can see more here. http://blog.dealextreme.com/?p=6875 They said they have already set up their new warehouse. I definitely hope they can really improve their shipping speed. This is all we wanted.

My complaint is that I waited a month for a flashlight to arrive and they never had it in stock and don't know when they will. Don't take my money and keep it for 6 weeks and make me fight to get it back.

whose we? ;)

anyway, very nice video, thanks!!

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Processing delays are acceptable, we understand busy seasons and all that. But DX issue is different, they pretty much claim everything is in stock but only tell you backorder AFTER you pay. You don't know when the item will be in stock, the order just held indefinitely. In stock in 2 weeks? 4 weeks? A month? 2 months? Who knows. In the meantime, they'll be happy to keep your hard-earned money for you :P

Seriously, would you order knowing this beforehand? No? Then you see honesty is the issue here, and not just busy season and late processing.

finally I cancelled my jacob A60 through their Customer Service Express,

and 2 hours later the refund appeared in my paypal account. That was fast.

I ordered two items on Thursday night and got a e-mail this morning (Saturday) telling me my items have been shipped. Looks great so far but will have to wait for a rating.

Keith

FULL refund? Exactly the same amount you paid? If so, that's good. In my case, 2/2 times DX tried to refund only 96% of paid amount. I don't know why. Almost like DX trying to blame or penalize me for cancelling despite they are the one that is unable to fulfill their end of the deal.

Luckily PP don't allow that kind of nonsense. Thanks to DX, I experience my first PP dispute and my first PP claim, and PP really do came through with its buyer protection. Phew.

Yeah, full, am I lucky?

I have just opened an account with them and placed an order. But I cannot get into my account to check the order status. I have no order number it does not recognise my Paypal invoice number (which DX gave me) and as I cannot get into my account I cannot contact them, or don't seem able to. Is it normally like this?

Marc.

I have a couple of CSE tickets in with DX right now, trying to get paid for some referral points. They now have a notice up saying it will be 7-10 days before they can even respond to a customer service ticket. That's amazing! I get impatient waiting 24 hours. Anyway, I haven't even gotten a response to my last two tickets, one of which is 10 days old and the other is 18 days old.

Someone needs to keep score....

Someone ought to; whats worse DX or DD. Hey maybe that would make a good survey? Which would you rather use (or not).

too offtopic if people begin to blah. feel free to open a new thread ;)

Hi. I ordered some flashlights on 14 January and products are still not shipped. Not sure if this is normal, but never had such experiences with other online dealers. Maybe they have low prices, but I think that when you make an order at dealextreme, it may happen to have the products in your hand after some months. So in my opinion, I prefer to pay a bit more and have the products shipped in a decent time.

Your the only lucky one so far. First they tell me 5-7 days for a refund, now I was told 1 to 10 days. They like taking your money fast, but to get it back? Ha!

To be fair, I have to say that everything I've ordered from DX has - eventually - arrived and worked properly (more or less). But I've read enough negative DX experiences in this thread alone to realise that I've been lucky with them, just like others seem to have been with DD. I'm not one of those, and I can't see myself using DD ever again.

As for DX, the looong wait, coupled with so much uncertainty, means that from now on I'll only order from them items that (1) I can't find anywhere else (2) I'm not in a hurry for, and (3) Are cheap enough that losing the money wouldn't matter. And I mean cheap to start with, not just a bit cheaper at DX. Like others, I'd rather pay more for faster, reliable service. If that sounds harsh after my opening comment, I mean reliable as in getting order/shipping confirmation emails, getting my own emails replied to, not having to wait 6 or 7 weeks for an item that I wasn't told would be back-ordered, etc etc..
