[PART 1] Official BLF GT Group Buy thread. Group buy officially closed! Lights shipping.

Man, every time I see the tint on the GT I fall in love all over again, I don’t care what anyone else says. I LOVE the stock tint on the GT.

ABSOLUTELY!!! I think the Gt is a masterpiece in stock form. I smile every time that I use it! Thanks again Team!

Yes i agree on the tint. its a perfect neutral on the warm side. compared to other throwers using 6500K and up tints, the GT shows better color representation of objects.

The tint is great. I personally feel that the more CW colors look cooler but the more neutral are more practical.

If it’s as nice as the tint of my BLF Q8, I’ll be a very happy bunny!

I have both, actually 2 of the q8s, and there is quite a bit of difference. It’s all about your personal preferences as far as color temperature goes.

Hello all,

Anyone know how to set the thermal regulation to its max temp? I know you can turn thermal regulation off but wondered if there was a way to set it for its max thermal regulation.

Thanks

Yeah, if you want it set with a temperature, just go into the menu and for the auto step down (in ramping, setting #3 - in mode sets, setting #7), click twice. The light will turn on turbo. Then just wait until it gets hot enough for you. Then click the button.

Obviously use fully charged batteries so it gets hot somewhat quick and doesn’t take an hour.

Tint is really awesome and at the moment at my place we have high humidity even if the temperature is bellow zero, and rain is making ice everywhere.
In this conditions beam looks like a pure white laser beam

The Neal vs Levi case sound quite odd on at least two counts:

1. I can’t imagine both a large company and a court bothering to chase a one Chinese individual selling a few hundred bags to a crowd of flashlights enthusiasts,

2. I can’t imagine the link between Levi and bags dedicated to carrying a monster flooder thrower… Maybe it’s the next trend and we’ll soon be able to buy GT Bags ™ in wrecked denim?

OMG! I did it… I’m post 18650! I want to thank all 18,649 posters that came before me. Without which this all would not have been possible. Thank you and good night.

Posting on the BLF is like swimming in mud lately. This why we have had so many duplicate and even triplicate posts.

For me, only this thread is slow. The rest of BLF seems fine.

From the one screenshot I saw it was not obvious whether Levi’s is targeting individual resellers including Neal Zhang or his source (and the manufacturer) of these bags. Without even typing out the link from the screenshot I will assume the company is not going to target individual resellers, for now.

As far as I know Paypal rules won’t allow taking payments for something that is even allegedly a counterfeit product, and Paypal will react aggressively.

Of course, I would not dare sell anymore in either case if I were him, even using other means of payment. Who knows what they come up with next. He’s worried for a reason.

Sounds like a case of “intellectual property” defined very broadly. Basically the larger a company the less someone else’s has to resemble theirs to trigger rent-seeking behavior in the form of somewhat random lawsuits.

Apparently the “GT bag” is almost the same size and form as some Levi’s bags as linked earlier in this thread. Very close to the same form, but very little resemblance otherwise IMO. A very generic and normal design, I would say even traditional and quite probably predating any Levi’s superficial fashion stuff . Almost analogous to pretending all typical modern slate phones are imitations of one brand. Absurd, but that didn’t stop Apple from suing.

This, except I don’t find any implication in TA’s post that these exceptions(shipping by mail in one box) were about customs protocols. This is regarding the postal service and how they sort their stuff. More precisely, mostly not what they allow but what they allow at a somewhat reasonable price. Most of the time a whole GT would likely be more expensive to mail than the two halves in separate boxes, it appears.

It seems the shipper was experimenting with the receiving countries’ customs several times, but this is unrelated.

I double your statement about the issue in general; this was discussed to exhaustion and it was made very clear that post shipping was to be in two boxes by default. Could not have been missed by anyone who went through ordering. Could very well be forgotten by now as a GB like this is a lengthy process. I would most likely have forgotten had I been in the lucky situation to live in an area with DHL service (yeah, they do business here too) and chosen DHL.

Huh? 1192 is after 1050

LOL I was thinking the same. Numbers must not be his thing.

Ranking in this gb does not mean anything at all.
