Review: Manker E02 (AAA, L shaped, XP-G3 200+ Lumens)

Yes
it is official speculation

I too am speculating,
Also speculating if O-Light will produce an AA/14500 headlamp. First came the H1 Nova (CR123 / 16340) followed by the H2R Nova (18650 ) how about the H1.5 Nova??

A AA Version was mentioned here Review: Manker E02 (AAA, L shaped, XP-G3 200+ Lumens) - #37 by Mankerlight

+1

Thank you, joechina - that let me find the post I was thinking of:

That would be an H1A then
I’m in contact with Olight quite a bit because of the models I test for them but heard nothing about an AA headlamp…

Rats , Opportunity lost

Yes, here is the AA Version

I bought one of these, it is a nice light, but it quit working. No damage, just powered off and would not turn back on. Luckily I can still return it…

EDIT: Whoops, look like I accidentally got into lock-out mode.

Does anyone know if you can purchase just the headband for the E02? I have an E02 and am interested in purchasing just the headband.

I was about to ask for the headband only too... But today I recharged the eneloop inside my 1month old e02 in mint conditions and than plugged back in and the flashlight after brief test worked, few seconds later as I needed it didn't worked anymore.

Tried with eneloop freshly charged and measured with dmm. Tried with alcalines (Duracell freshly taken from the shop where i m working) and also some lithium primaries from Olight I just received bundled with few Olight Stuff......

Light was bought from HKE... It's the first time i see a lights silently dying for no reason....I don't know if I should contact manker here on this forum, or HKE...I'm not very confident tbh

One common failure I have heard of is people invoking the lockout feature. Not sure if that happened here or not.

I will add the answer I got back from Manker is no, headband is not available separately.

Yep I tried the lockout way... Still I think that is a state that is retained just while power is feeded to the driver... So once you mechanically brake the circuit should be gone... I could be wrong though.

Thank you sbslider

I have tried to lockout my light and remove the battery for awhile. The light remembers that it was locked out, even with the battery out. I suspect there is data stored in memory that stays even when the battery is removed. It sounds like that is not your problem though. I know others have had good success getting replacements from Manker, you might try that route.

What's the cheapest you can get this light and where?

Hello guys.
It would be a special edition for the BLF members

I was in the same situation and contacted Manker in December 2017. Jason replied that they do not sell the headband separately.

Also be aware that the head comes glued to the body. I wanted to buy one without the glue, but all stock they had then were glued.

A white spirit/gasoline bath will dissolve any glue. The process may require some hours (or maybe a couple days) at ambient temperature, check to see if done every once in a while. Keep as much of the head above spirit level as possible, you just want to dissolve the glue in the head-body threads, isn't it? You'll need a new o-ring there after this.

As a general rule gasoline/white spirit dissolves plastics, though it may take days at room temp for this to be noticeable.

Cheers ^:)

Thread resurrection -

I thought I saw a picture of an E02 with a larger, more “tail-standable” tail cap and a rubber grip - or was I dreaming that?

I love this little light but it could use those things -
