But Acebeam confirmed that there will be Neutral White version of the X70 this time and not just cool white like all the other super bright flashlights!
I do hope Astrolux offer a HI CRI version with the XHP70.2 4000k 80+CRI, which has perfect neutral tint that is nearly indistinguishable from the legendary Nichia NVSL219BT. Their MF01 219c 90+ CRI version seems to be super popular
Interested also. The 4500K tint gives the best balance of color discrimination and least blue bounce. I’d like to see that. 5000K produces a bluish reflection off of plants that makes it hard to see past them. 4000 makes it hard to distinguish among brown objects.
Interested.
By putting “interested” does that mean I am in for the group buy?
Is there a difference between saying “interested” vs. “want one?”
I am interested and I want one.
Yes
No
XHP70.2 4000k 80+CRI Just wondering do you have a light with this, or did you read about that somewhere?
And do you know where we can buy this “perfect tint” emitter?
Interested thanks
SKV89: Nicolaas:I like Astrolux’ pricing much better than Acebeams’…………

I have the Haikelite MT09R with the XHP70.2 4000k 80+ CRI. It actually looks very neutral white with no yellow, green, magenta, blue. I compared it with the triple Nichia NVSL219BT 4000k 90+CRI that every body likes and I can hardly tell the difference between the two tint.

In comparison, the tint on my flashlights with the XP-L HD 4000k, XP-L HI 4000k, and Nichia 219C 4000k looks completely different.

OK thanks for the info, nice Haikelight! So those were a limited run for the group buy only and not available for sale otherwise?
I poked around the web a bit just trying to find that same emitter but no luck so far.

Mouser has them, I got 2 of them…I like it in my Convoy L2, didn’t like it in my BLF GT……works/looks the best with a OP reflector, IMO. https://www.mouser.com/productdetail/cree-inc/xhp70b-01-0000-0d0hm440g?qs=u4fy%2FsgLU9MJ17uzyaTD5A%3D%3D

Cree has several emitters in specifically 4000K 80CRI, that apparently all have the same phosformix, that work out in a particularly great tint. I have XP-G3 and XP-L2 emitters in that tint that look really good, while their 70CRI versions look meh yellowish (you don’t want 4000K in 70CRI) and the 90CRI versions are horribly green.
I got all my 4000K 80CRI Cree leds from Mouser, Cree leds apparently come quite standard with that tint.
