Interest list for 41.8mmx2mm ZWB2 filters, status: produced, received and most filters sent to BLF-members

One for me please. Don’t have a 365 nm thrower, yet.
If the deal goes through, I won’t have to wait indefinitely for my parcel to arrive.
The current record is 123 days between PP and ding-dong.

I’ll take one.

I’ll take one, I’ve been wanting a uv light for awhilr and c8s and x6s are my favorite host. Should flood and throw decently with a big reflector like that. Now just have to find a suitable led and driver.

Doesn’t nichia make one?
If someone could link a led from Cree or nichia it would be appreciated. I guess if I had to I could get one of those cheap 501b 365nm uv flashlights and take the led out of it if push came to shove

I’ll take one, thanks

I want one. Is it possible to ship it to Germany?

Robert

Count me in for 1.
Thanks

The list goes unexpectedly well, I wake up with 14 filters accounted for, and maybe two more by PM. I decided to already proceed with the alibaba order. Thanks for the speedy decisions, and I hope that not too many will miss out now.

I will take one please. This will go perfectly with one of the three Thorfire C8S’s I just ordered. Looks like Simon is selling the LG 365nm led on 20mm dtp boards. I’m waiting on my S2 with that led from him, and already have a filter for that. Curious to see how that compares to my S2+’s with the Nichia 365nm leds. Any idea which would throw better djozz? Which has the smaller die? If I remember from your tests, it looks like the LG might handle more power and have higher output, with similar quality to the Nichia, right? I guess either way, the LG from Convoy is already on a 20mm dtp board, so that seems like the way I’ll go for my first C8 mod. Thanks for the idea and the filter!

Added! The die of the LG is slightly bigger than the Nichia 276A, but the higher drive current and output of the LG should more than compensate for that.

About the quality, I think the LG on a DTP board is a much tougher led than the 276A (that has a 2-pad design that can not be mounted on a common DTP XP-board). The only quality aspect that the Nichia has over the LG is very low visible stray light, but with the use of a ZWB2 filter that quality is not relevant.

Btw, the SeoelViosys led from Kaidomain has a smaller die than the LG and should throw a bit better than the LG.

LOL, we are talking throw in 365nm UV-leds, how about putting one in the GT, spotting scorpions on the other side of town

First page bump. 5 more are needed on the list. Lightbringer may be in for 2 so 3 may be enough, but there’s no confirmation yet.

Eep! Just got in to work now… count me in for one!

Rather try one of those LGs than scavenge one from an S2+.

Agree, or the Seoel viosys led from KD.

4 filters left to sign up for.

I will take one if there’s any spaces left thanks.

Almost missed seeing this Jos! I need one for my copper X6 and Nichia NVSU333A emitter, it’s 35mm but I can grind it down if need be. Hope there’s still a spot on the list…

If so, count me in!

Done!
Grinding off 3.5mm is a tough job, and make sure not to breathe the dust (yes I know how glass dust tastes in my nose and throat :person_facepalming: )

For the record, if there’s any trouble filling those last couple of spots I’ll go for two.

Will keep that in mind. I ordered them anyway so there is plenty time now to get the last spots filled up.

Now I just hope that during shipping from China to me no extra costs are generated underway. :innocent:

Great news. Please let us know what we owe you when you have them in hand. Thanks again djozz.

I’m just building a light around your filter… :sunglasses:
For long I thought about toying with an UV light but never did. The idea of blocking the straylight just put me over the edge. Now I ordered a Sofirn C8F host and 3 emitter (went with the Seoul Viosys after your great UV-LED test).
Funds are standing by, just gimme the word.

That’s funny Harley, I had the exact same thought but haven’t ordered the light yet.

Edit: I was thinking more of a Nichia emitter but…
