In-depth vid review of the TK05's big bro the TK18:

RUNTIME (TURBO)

  • timed step-down @ ~3min
  • slight bump in output w/2 x LiFEPO4's (potentially higher with 2 x 16340's but I don't have a pair of healthy cells to test with atm) and even after step down
  • wasn't able to meet output claims with 18650 (989lms) or 2 x LiFEPO4's (1060lms)
  • total runtime on 18650 far exceeds mfg claims (~4 hrs vs. 45 min)
  • suggest sticking w/2 x R/CR123's for overall highest output if long runtime not required

I really like this light. I swapped out the XPL & mcpcb with a XPL-HI V3 3C mounted on a Noctigon mcpcb, and the beam is much better IMO, with no tint shift. I think it’s one of the best TF lights made right now. Nothing glued, easy swap.
