Created an order on Feb 22 (tail end of Spring Festival, holiday until 26th IIRC) for a KDLitker C8.2 with a XHP50.2 5000k, said in stock, ships in 1-3 days, I paid the $18 for express shipping too.
Heard nothing up until I emailed on 3/3 asking what my order status was to which they replied, this light is out of stock in 5K, if you want we can do 3k, 4k, or 6k. Now looking at the 5k product page, IT STILL SAYS IN STOCK. Either way, I sent back 4k is fine. They say it will ship in a few days, order marked shipped on 3/5, but no tracking number. I give it a few days.
Fast forward to 3/9, I emailed again saying I never got tracking despite being marked as shipped. They say, oh, we are waiting for 4k LED to be installed and tested and it will ship next week.
I contacted BanL last Friday (3/9) and he said he would check on it, no PM’s or shipping notices since.
I did 2 orders about a month and a half ago. None of the Tracking numbers worked for me. The first order got to me in 21 days from order. The second order they sent me half the order with a note in the package saying the rest of the order will be on its way. Then I got a email a week later saying we have sent you the rest of your order.
I should be getting the 2nd half any day.
I just made 2 orders yesterday. And received a email today saying the orders have shipped.
I have heard you will get your order from 3 weeks to 2 months, I’m patient.
Not sure how big their operation is employee wise but I’ve received my lights and I am happy with them.

Im usually pretty patient with cheap BG or GB shipping, but the expedited always gets here quickly. My issue is that it says shipped when the product isnt in stock, let alone wasnt built.
I fully expect a bit better service when im paying for faster shipping, and to be told something shipped when it isnt in stock isnt right.
So how do the C8.2’s perform?

Well, we will see what happens, I sent an email to cancel my order, and coincidentally it shipped that night.
Oh well, I was going to use the money to cover most of my BLF Q8 purchase, but looks like ill just have two nice lights

Id probably still get the C8.2. More efficient, more power, boost driver.
I prefer single emitter lights though if I can find what I want

different size pills
The first i received was a a couple of months ago an XHP50 with a 23mm pill, the second i got today, a XPL with 25mm pill.
the first one had a textured finish i really liked and the new seems to have changed to a smoother finish. do we know if its changed across the line or just to suit the driver?

Not a very happy camper here, my C8.2 just arrived, and it doesnt work.
Im systematically taking it apart and testing things. the tailswitch and soldering seems fine, but other than that not sure what else to check.
Put the battery into it and used a Fluke DMM and its only passing .177A and doesnt seem to change modes.

Tried with two fully charged INR18650-30Q, one button top, one flat.
Checked continuity and voltage with the light head off - Good
Checked amp draw with tailcap draw using DMM as switch, pulled .177A and no more, tapping to change modes does nothing.
Tightened all holding rings, nothing
I just finished taking the entire light apart and cleaned the sloppy mess of thermal compound off and am reassembling now, but I dont have alot of faith.
Really, REALLY angry and dissapointed.

If you get any problem with the flashlight, you can send an video to show what is the problem with the light.
All the flashlights are being well tested before we had shipped out.
It has a lower chance to get both of the flashlights are having problem in the same package.

Sounds like you got a dud. Very unusual in the KD light range.
I’ve had no issues at all, apart from 3-4 yrs ago when a drop-in for their C8 flickered like a *. They sent a replacement no questions asked. That was surprising, to be honest.
Well, I hope it comes to just shipping a replacement, or at this point a full refund like I initially requested before it shipped. Since posting the video they asked for a tail amp reading and then silence.
I knew there was potential for problems, but its just been one thing after another and it sucks.
Bought 2 C8.2 XHP35 and one of them has intermittent issues.
Just threw it one corner.
Kinda disappointed with their products as it’s my first flashlight purchase from them.
Gonna stick to Convoy or Jaxman,

So, they have me checking different things and we know the driver board is dead, but how do I check if the LED is dead?
I suppose continuity?
Im requesting a new LED either way, but would like to be sure.
Edit: They said theyre sending me a new drop in.

I had followed your case. And we had decided to send the replacement LED drop-in to you.
If you want to test your LED is working fine or not, you can use your digital meter to check with it.
