I ordered 3 knives from fasttech.com , oh man they have a lot of knives I have to tell you … (” Fasttech Knives”:http://shrsl.com/smn1 )
Anyhow , I ordered 3 that I thought might be unique .
I just got them like 2 hours ago …
Initial impressions = All are tight , no blade play … And they are all shaving sharp .
I have a Bee L01 that has been my daily user , and I have grown disappointed with it ( Wont hold an edge - Takes a edge - just wont hold it ) So time to put the Bee on the shelf to gather dust .
SRM 4108 sux ( I hope not ) 12cm Open , Tension lock , 7.25cm closed . = Very small and light , sharp , tight - Nothing to complain about yet !
SRM 7092 Lux , 16.5cm Open , Liner lock , 9.5cm closed = Small and light , tight , blade open easily - Nothing to complain about yet !
Y-Start Jin01 , 22cm Open , Liner lock , 12.5cm closed = Medium / large , has some heft , relatively hard to open ( you will get a sore thumb playing with it ) , D2 (?) - Nothing to complain about yet ? Does a sore thumb count ?
Haha I never noticed that the srm 4108 sux.
I have the jin02 and the thumbstud is a real sore. From the look of it the jin01 has as exactly the same thumbstud.
I also like backlock knives a lot. I have 1 ganzo f759, like it so much that 6 more are on the way. The g713 (not sure the number is correct) was also my favorite, the protruding steel liners from the handle make it such a pain to hold, but the snap of the backlock is so satisfying.
There are only a few back locks in the universe of chinese knives. The huge enkan ew039 is one of them, ganzo has only a pair (and it has a LOT of models), sanrenmu has very few too and so.
