Group Buy: Wuben TO10R and TO46R (real 90+CRI triple XP-G3) - CLOSED!!

Good question. I have to ask Wuben. Please stay tuned…

Interested in the light running on 18650.

Shame that the smaller one runs on 16340, I would have much, much preferred 18350.
The latest generation of 18350 have around 1100mAh (real!) capacity and easily take a 7A load.

Cheers

I agree. I didn’t read carefully enough and thought it took an 18350 and it’s what kept me from ordering one. So much more juice for such a small difference in size.

Same question here  I’ll stay tunned for this!

Any updates?

TO46R x2

Thanks!

Im interested in the to46r. Thanks

Not much to tell yet.

The samples have been shipped and I’m anxiously waiting for them to arrive. Maybe before next weekend. Trying to be patient, not easy though. :innocent:

Interested in the TO10R please!

No interested due to price, thanks anyway

Measured one sample of both the TO10R and TO46R. The results are here:

Throw exceeds mfg specifications by about 25%.
edit: they’re spot on, my laser distance meter was in the wrong position, oops.

Didn’t have a chance to measure lumens yet.

Thank you very much for testing the CRI maukka!

So, it seems that the emitters are indeed real 90CRI 5000K (with acceptable tolerance). Looking good for the GB!

I have played with my samples for a couple of hours and I think I love them: Well built lights with an easy to use UI and (now, finally) a nice tint.

Interested in one TO46R, kiitos.

Oh man… You’re killing me! :weary:

I ain’t got no money!

Those look like some really nice lights. Hope you guys enjoy them. I guess I need to go down to my basement and mod something to keep my mind occupied…

Thanks so much for the review. I hope you publish it in a separate thread too so it would make it easy to find.

The TO10R tint looks like it will be very green given how much it is above the BBL. The TO46R seems better but still on the green side. How does it compare with the nichia 219c? Is it more green? Because for me, even the 219c seems very yellow green compared with 219b, which is more rosy.

The tint shift on the TO46R looks pretty wild but is easily fixable by applying DC-Fix, which I pretty much apply anyways on most of my flashlights. I’m just worried about the green. I had to return my Zebralight SC5C II XPL2 4000k 90CRI because the green was unbearable. The three UT01 I had were also consistently lime/yellow so I don’t use them.

I think I will pass on the TO10R and buy the TO46R to play with. It’s unfortunate because currently, this is the only non nichia HI CRI 18650 flashlight on the market with USB recharge. Would have been the perfect EDC light if the tint was closer or below the BBL.

This is FANTASTIC news! Bring on the purchase train! I’m ready to buy!

Someone asked about the battery. Quickly tested the one that arrived with my TO46R sample.

0.7A discharge after charged to full inside the light:

Nice! Real Capacity!

The 2600mAh 18650 from the TO46R discharged at 8W:

Battery has LVP at 2.4 volts.

And here’s the 650mAh 16340 from the TO10R discharged at 1A:

LVP at 2.5 volts.

Integrated USB charging on the TO46R takes about 3 hours:

Integrated USB charging on the TO10R takes about 1 hour 40 minutes:
