Love it NL, always liked the design, then breathed on by vinh for a nice fiat lux beast.

Sold my sc5c mkII as too yellow, tried and tried but nope, not for me. So got another sc62, this time 6300k which is actually a nice clean white beam. I like it!

I added one more to my little family, found an sc600fd mkIII so could not resist! What has held me off a little is the clip on clips(yep…………i hate em). Also the little more of a chunk over the sc62/63 , but it feels great in hand and still pretty tiny. I dont want to risk the mkIV version yet with the little glitches in the UI. I am happy to have reliable 1st, then output(and admittedly better UI) after. I do miss the fully programmable levels of the newer UI, but its no deal breaker. As long as i can get a decent output for a decent time(200-400 type) i am happy!
Beam wise, its not quite like a mule, there is a soft hotspot that gets harder to find past 3 or 4ft away. Still the light is more focused centre than spread out like a mule. 5000k temp, tint wise is a little towards yellow(in ways like a 219c 4000k). Its nice enough and happy
Got a few new ones this week. A Reylight Pineapple V3. Love this little AA Nichia.
Got this one that I have never heard of off Amazon. Securitylng G7-L2, I think is what they call it. Claims to be 700 lumen with a XM-L2 U2-1A So it is quite bright white in tint. Little bit of throw with lots of spill. Weird UI. Momentary presses take you through Hi, Med, Low, Strobe, and SOS. Then when you get to the mode you want you full click to keep it on in that mode. Turning it off and back on with a full click will put you in Hi everytime, so no memory. Built like a tank and has some heft to it for sure. Neat light so far.
The good news for flashlight enthusiasts is that the Sun is earth’s ultimate flashlight. Over the next one billion years, the luminosity of the Sun will increase. Yes, it will burn out, but we live at a time where it is nearing its peak brightness or ramping toward Turbo Max mode. Haha.
