Overview: All Eneloop batteries 2005-2024

??? It’s not an Eneloop.

Edit…… I saw HKJ’s post below & learned something.

But made at the eneloop factory with about the same performance as a eneloop.

Oh… OK. I did not know that. Thank you for the info HKJ!!

I thought its performance was on par with older generations of Eneloops, not the current generation.

I do not know if they keep production lines with the old process running, but I added a “about” to my sentence to avoid any quibble about possible minor differences.

Part 2 of the fake AAA pro

Very well done video, thank you!! :+1:

But these are Eneloop Pros though, with fewer charge cycles.

Thanks for the warning about the eBay fakes.

I am starting to need more AAAs, dagnabbit.

So they are. Does IKEA have one that is comparable to a regular Eneloop??

No, they don't!
That is actually a very good question, because people usually don't think that the most popular eneloop model is not available at IKEA. Since that 1 video is circulating the internet everybody seems to be saying, Get the IKEA, because they are the same as eneloops. But they forget that the standard (and most popular) eneloops aren't available as IKEAloops.

Thank you for the reply ChibiM…. :+1: That tells me what I need to know.

And video 3..

Fake AA PRO.. so not AAA pro like the last 2 videos.

So any recommendations for buying, say, 2 dozen Eneloop AAAs?

I wish I could find the price per cell listed — everything I find is 2-pack or 4-pack etcetera.

And wow do the prices vary.

Unfortunately, I can’t offer any suggestions for California, but people in the UK might like to consider Battery Logic:

They’re usually quite competive, and they sell the Fujitsu LSD cells as well as the Eneloops. I’ve started buying the Fujitsu ones - no chance of Panasonic mixing up a batch or something and sending me Chinese “Eneloops”.

Yeah, come to think of it, the last eight AAAs I bought were Fujitsus.
They seem to work fine. Gotta remember to recheck HKJ’s reviews ….

I managed to grab the last Costco set today. I have been putting it off waiting for a sale. But, I never saw them on sale. Bit the bullet and paid the $30. The last set on shelf. Also, all So Cali stores I have been to are all gone.

Try best buy they usually have them. At least in my area. Another over looked brand in my opinion is odec. I have 32 of them. 16 I’ve put through the ringer. Charged and discharged at least 300 to 400 times usually drained below .9 volt couldn’t tell you how many dozens and dozens of times they’ve been run completely dead and still have over 2000mah at 1 amp discharge. Highly over looked. They are very slightly larger then some but I hadn’t had any fitting issues in any lights. Only a remote. They get used in lanterns in the bedrooms charged up every 2 or 3 days. Over the last 2 and half years. Just bought another set of 16 for my kids toys. 25 dollars for 16 on Amazon. There my new go to.

my older eneloops or duraloops(white tops) seem a bit better then the newer ones with the orange circle on them, especially AAA version, the performance on the older ones seems better, I wonder what changed.

Lowes also carries AA NIMH with the brand “Portfolio” near the lighting/outdoor solar lights area, I mainly just use them in my PC’s mouse and keyboard so can’t attest to their quality/performance in a flashlight but if you cant find them elsewhere take a look, they are ok
