1986 GMT Master II.
Chris
several of my quartz watches including a 1984 seiko are like 5 sec a year or less
15 sec / month is just the spec
will probably be way better
and of course the atomic ones are 0 sec /eternity

Got my Seiko SBBN033 MarineMaster Professional today. I got it from an authorized USA dealer for a great price. I’m loving it!
pretty watch.
now you have to track and report accuracy in seconds/year

I set it to the atomic clock at https://time.gov/HTML5/. I’ll be sure to check it often.
wle: isti242:I have one of those on the way to me for my brushed Amphibian. I hope it won’t disappoint me.
What’s about the overall fit and finish of your one? As I know the sides are polished. Was it easy to resize?—no, you will surely like it…
—fit and finish is perfect, adjustment - the adjustment links are attached via screws, which is unusual but no harder than the usual push-out kind
==it;s very heavy, ends are polished
==did you already have one ordered ?
( i just could not see paying $110 for a watch band, this was the perfect thing for a $150 watch)

It’s funny because I pulled the trigger and ordered one a couple of days ago.
I was amazed by the super engineer 2 every time I saw it but at that price I could easily double the value even of my most expensive watch. ven:Yes the black will no doubt scrape off, no matter how much care , swirls, scratches happen in abundance. There is another from HK which is excellent value, a real chunk! 6mm thick, stainless and i was that impressed i bought 2(around £20 iirc and again on ebay, UK watch shop for around £80. It does add some heft!
Can see how chunky compared to the other engineer II
Wow, that’s quite impressive! :+1:
I guess it weights at least twice as much as the “SE2”.
Would you mind providing links to these watchbands (Super Engineer II clone and the 6mm band)? I was looking at a Strapcode Super Oyster Curved End, but still on the fence on paying that much for a fairly budget minded SKX007.
Are there any HK direct bands similar to the Strapcode Super Oyster Curved End (#SS221803B019)?
I just ordered a real 22mm Super Engineer II from Amazon for my new Seiko. The fake ones are not nearly as good. I know because I bought one for one of my Timex’s. The clasp is thin and doesn’t clamp well. The band it’self isn’t bad, but uses push-in pins instead of screws. I already had to re-push a couple of them in after a couple of weeks. I ended up putting loctite on them. That said, you get what you pay for in most cases.
A leather nato is verry nice also with that watch, good to have strapoptions.
Google find, not my picture:

Looks nice! Do you own one?
JamesB:I received my Casio G-Shock GW-M5610-1BJF today.
My first negative display g-shock, it’s even worse than what i though regarding readability, it’s terrible.
I bought it with the intent to mod it to positive display because the equivalent positive display model (GW-M5610 wich i had a few monthes ago) has a dial surrounding the display a tad too colorful for my tastes.
Hopefully i don’t mess up.
I recieved the polarizing film today, changed it on the watch, it’s like night and day difference, so happy i did this.
Edit:
Took a picture next to my Rangeman, sorry for the dirty Rangeman, been cutting some branches in the rain.
Good to know just in case.
I think I’m going to get the DW-5600BBN-1ER variant (nato strap, no solar model) but don’t plan to mod anything

Not this one but I do own a Seiko Monster and a SKX007. I love to wear them with natos.

I bought it for my Amphibia and I didn’t want to double the value of the watch by the bracelet.
I had no problems with the pins but I had to bend the clasp slightly for a better fit.
Got my Super Engineer II today. Excellent quality, and I think it makes my new Seiko look great. Much nicer than the rubber band it came with.
Very nice Glenn :sunglasses:
Thanks Ven. I’m loving this new watch. It’s been 3 days since I received it and it hasn’t lost or gained a second so far. I’m sure it’s well within it’s 15 seconds a month spec
… Yobokies Monster Mod …
Nice! Brother says hi.
I may have said this before, but Alex at Yellowdogwatchstraps does really nice straps. I have a few and I’ve been very happy with them.
I bought quite fast a Seiko SARB017 Alpinist, since they were going out of production.
Got it, tested for 2 days and no. Did not impress me for the price, so I sold it away already…
