I thoght maybe it some cheap service from premiume carrier like DHL but no its shown as register mail. so i paid extra fees for express then LT use register mail!! i am so mad after waiting 4months now this happen.
Talk to Neal. The shipping system is very complicated and has to go through about 4 places before someone actually prints a label. It is easy for things to be lost along the way.
And I have been waiting for months for the rear part and batteries, that guy Mr Neal don’t give a s**t about consumer care and never answer emails or PM.
Only concerned about selling, last time I bought the short tube and ask him if it is possible for also a endcap, so I can finally use my GT head.
But what do you think….no, nothing noppes hear from this Mr Neal.

Neal had been out of contact for over a month during CNY and the following weeks. Try contacting him now, he is responding much better now.
Finally, it arrived
This morning it was delivered to my home
When I arrived to home and saw it, a giggle was drawn on my face
When I opened the box, the giggle began to disappear
The tailcap was loose and could move freely inside the box to hit the other parts
When checking the tailcap there were three small dings without the anodizing
The giggle was lost
Luckily, the other parts are unmarked
The reflector is slightly OP, do not like
Knowing beforehand that the 35Es that I bought had not been shipped with the GT, I had prepared 4 NCR18650GA for testing
NCR18650GA do not make contact due to polarity protection system
I won’t be able to prove it today
Tomorrow I’ll see what I do

Was this in the single, big DHL style box? The packing is so tight in that box it’s hard to believe it would be loose. There is only a little room in between the top and bottom foam pieces.
If it was in the 2 piece registered shipping boxes the battery tube and tail cap are wrapped in bubble wrap and put in a box just big enough to fit it in.
This is the first report I’ve heard of a tail cap being loose in a box.
How do you think it happened?
Possible custom officer tested it to make sure it is a flashlight?
Yes, I was thinking this as well, this is quite possible if the customs are as strict as he says they are.
Ya, they could have assembled it and found that their D size batteries could not power GT up. :person_facepalming:

After carefully checking the outside of the box, under a pile of stickers (labels, tapes, pieces of nylon in different colours and prints), a tape with the inscription “FedEx OPENED BY CUSTOMS” appears.
There’s also some traces of a piece of nylon with traces of the DHL logo on it.
I can assure you that it was not opened by the Uruguayan customs because there is a whole bureaucracy set up by law
1 - Customs retains the package
2 - The recipient is notified
3 - Must be opened in the presence of the recipient or a designated representative in writing
4 - Customs closes the package with its own tape in the presence of the recipient or representative
5 - Customs (if applicable) and storage fees are paid
6 - Against the receipt of the fees the package is delivered
Because of the depth of that tape, I think it was at the customs office of departure

Yeah, that would explain it, it is not like lumintop to leave the tailcap loose, they know it would just cause damage. Customs is a royal pain.

Official list says we can expect PM’s coming out in mid-end January 2018. I haven’t received anything. I understand that at this point it’s better not to promise anything, but can we expect to receive that PM before the end of April?
Yes, We wanted to send them out last week but had some technical issues that caused a delay with the PM’s.
They should be going out any day now. The public sales will open at the same time.
In other news I just got done distributing the Donations from the first rounds of the GB to the team now that Neals paypal account is working again.
We ended up with around $875 of user donations for the first rounds.
