Was tired of people looking at me like I am a criminal when taking a knife out of my pocket. So I got this SAK now to edc, let’s hope it looks a bit more friendly
Thats the problem, when you hear about knifes it is always when they have been used to do bad, you never hear about the guy pulling out a knife to do something good / normal with it.
And granted there are a lot of bad going on with knifes now and 40 years ago when i started carrying one for the wrong reasons cuz i was stupid back then.
But today and lightning media, then every little bad thing are snapped up and put out there at once scaring the living hell out of a lot of people i am sure…
But legislating against media are a very thin line to walk, but i would like to see something being done to stop press spewing out too much negative news, some tings are best if you dont know about it, and the people that should do something about do that.
I think the normal SAK are legal to carry here, but only just.
Here its quite normal that if 1 person misuse something, just ban it and ruin it for all the people that have enjoyed it and not caused any problems.
Yeah, I have carried one every day of my life since 17 years old (Had a lot of cheep ones prior to that that I did not always carry for whatever reason). Something about being trapped in a car upside down (I was not driving), tends to make one think never again. I will never own another knife that can not cut a seatbelt in one pass, and I will always have one in my pocket. (even when I was stationed in Europe from 88-91, I had a pocket knife.)
People are to fearful of the wrong things. I don’t get it other than the news blowing things out of proportion.
edit to add Holy crap I actually got an image to upload thanks racoon city and JohnnyMac. Also, this is the first time in a long time I carried this Buck knife. It really doesn’t hold an edge very well compared to other knives I have
