[PART 2] Official BLF GT Group Buy thread. Closed, but Public sales open!

Last I heard they sent out package traces on most of these orders over the last week or 2. It generally takes at minimum 14 days to get a response and usually closer to 30 days. I am betting they are waiting on the results of the trace before resending. Although I have not asked them about this yet.

This has nothing to do with paypal and I am not dragging anything out.

The old survey was cluttered up with all sorts of issues and the vast majority of them were fixed. It was very hard to find any issues that were still “active”. So I decided to clear the list and start fresh to only get the issues that are outstanding. This was done to speed up the process, not slow it down.

It only takes a minute to fill it out.

Far as me being ashamed. I am doing the absolute best I can with what I have. I am nothing more then a middleman for a company that does not speak english naturally and trying to keep the best outcome for all parties in mind.

I agree, that a replacement should be shipped after 60 days. I was under the impression that is what they planned to do. I only learned that this did not happen for multiple people a few days ago and have not been able to get a good answer as to why yet. No one seems to know who is in charge of this side of things.

I am doing the best I can, I am on the other side of the planet from the factory, Lumintop, Neal and anything having to do with the GT.

There is a large language barrier and time barrier between me and them. I generally only get maybe an hour to talk to them at night before bed and even then that has had me getting 4-5 hours of sleep on a regular basis the last few weeks trying to sort out issues and prepare for the next rounds.

So no, I do not feel ashamed in the slightest about anything I have done with this GB. I have done everything in my power to keep this GB on track.

in case my BLF GT is never arrived and PP protection is expired can i still get my money back?

If confirmed from tracking info that Jimmy never received it, just refund him. If Lumintop resend it without knowing what had happened, ashame game might happen again.

Whats up with Neal? Is he a reliable and honest guy?

I send him payment for short GT tube and some batteries he had from GT sale, he answered every question, but after my payment it’s like he disappear, no response for a week, “hey I am sorry I was sick, could not work” or “I am sorry I forgot to send your order.” thats OK for me, it happens, but not a single word! That’s not a way you do business.

Sadly this is how China does business, It is standard practice to just disappear instead of explaining why. I will never understand it myself.

I hope to hear from him on Monday.

It is indeed how they do business. I’ve run into the same issues buying off Ali, and a few other Chinese vendors. It’s the nature of the beast.

Oh, and Jimmy007, if anyone should be ashamed, it should be you for acting like a 2 y/o. I’ve sat silently and watched TA and a number of other GT team members take flack from a bunch of whiny twits for months now. This is cutting edge tech, being created by VERY talented people. If you’ve never dealt with China, and expect it to be like Amazon, you are sadly, sadly mistaken. Want to get what looks to be an awesome flashlight? Have patience, be respectful, and relax. Things will be taken care of.

I’m sorry Jimmy I don’t know you or your circumstance… but you are WAY out of line. Nobody took a dump in your cheerios intentionally. This is a group of people that are having fun doing what they like doing. It is not a “company” that is trying to make a buck off of you. We are trying to obtain something NOT readily available at the lowest price possible by grouping together in a co-op to give us the ability to have FUN with something “we” designed and want (read: alot of people who VOLUNTEERED their time, knowledge and experience - not you!). I myself had nothing to do with any of the multitude of primary tasks that were required to get the GT to so many people. If you are so concerned about your MONEY maybe they should give you a refund now and you can keep your money. They are too nice to do that though…except, of course, at your request. I’ll buy your light if nobody down the list wants it. You obviously need your money for something far more important. Texas Ace has been working his @zz off for something he loves and you were warned that there were likely to be problems. You knew you would be a guinea pig to EVENTUALLY get something you wanted and were prepared to pay in advance for. If you read the forum you see that they have been fixing everything they can and dealing with a ton of crazy bs from lots of random sources. You may have fallen at the far end of the bell curve but you have no reason to attack personally. If it were me I’d refund your money and escort you swiftly through the door, window…wall, whatever. There are plenty of people willing to wait for these very patient, courteous and helpful gentlemen who don’t get paid to eat other people’s shtuff. This has been roughly a $300,000.00 deal and they get almost nothing for doing what I consider a nightmare task. Yes, a few of them run side businesses and will make a few dollars peripherally…but nothing compared to the enormous task that they have set themselves and are succeeding at to OUR benefit!!! Yes, yours is delayed, but you knew that could happen so shut it, do as they ask and somebody will eventually fix it. As far as I can tell from various searches there has never been even a breath of anything bad coming out of BLF and for that I thank Texas Ace and Neal and all the other forum members that have contributed and have done so much for so little! And that too frequently without gratitude. Maybe it should be a rule that personal attacks will be dealt with by being dropped to the last number in the group buy. 1500 in your case.

My GT was delivered two days ago. Registered shipping from the first batch. Long wait but amazing light. Massive.

Two boxes were in good shape and had more fillings that in some of the earlier registered shipping boxes.

It’s been a month since my BLF was dispatched and there are no updates. I might be okay with that but the tracking shows that it has been dispatched to another country (Indonesia) instead of my current country (India).

I’ve shot a mail to Neal but haven’t got a reply in a week.

Make sure you fill out the survey to Neal on post #1. Hopefully it is going to the correct address. If not, he needs to check into it.

Well, 3 days later and it’s now $280.
