Net total for me: (16 × 1.6)LH351D + (14 × 0.5)LH351B + (3 × 1)XP-G3 + shipping = $40.60 ≈ €32.82 with current ECB rate, is this right?
With regards to the PayPal rates if this path is taken, the seller rate as I see it is 3.4% + 0.35€. I guess you say “add 5%” to slightly overshoot because from the buyer’s side the actual fee would be a tiny bit above 4%, doesn’t it? Just for learning.
Cheers
I tried to understand PP fee once again and I see 3.9%+0.35€or 0.3$. (According the last payment it seems to be correct.)
About 351B. I’ll get them next week. So you could wait with payment. (The sum is correct)
Need some advice.
Same as Lightbringer here, outside paying online shops I’ve used PP exactly 2 times before for money transfer in 6 years…
AEDe wrote:
While sending by PP please use “To friends and family” (Commision fee is obout 5%)
I remind you 351D 1.6$/pcs for < 20pcs.
10 × 1.6$ per LED = 16$
plus 5$ shipping = 21$
plus 5% PP fee = 22.05$ EUR conversion => I can do that as well
.
But:

Where? I assume in a BLF PM?
When I write “10x Samsung LH351D BLF HarleyQuin” and my shipping address in the Paypal transaction, this does not really look like friends and family, does it?
Please avoid fully quoting lenghty posts, namely with nested quotes. Trim quotes down to the essential. Helps with neatness and legibility. Thanks.

The simplest way is to choose “to friends and…”. I this case you write sum that I ‘ll get, and than pp will add commision fee.
P.s. fee is 3.9% not 2.9%.
Okay, updated the previous “worksheet”. Just wanted to make sure I was doing it right.
I was kinda warned off doing the f&f thing, because like ebay, they want their “cut”, and can get kinda testy if people try to end-run the system. No worries, I’ll eat the extra bit.
Basically, if I still wanna use PP for ordering online, I don’t want to get smited or cast out or something.
But like I said, don’t worry, I’ll eat the extra cost, as it’s only a coupla bux. Barely more’n the cost of 1 LED.
Mmm, also while I do not mean to bust any bubbles I must point out the $1.50/piece discount is only for units above the 20th one. Otherwise 20 pcs would cost (20 × $1.60) = $32, while 21 pcs would be (21 × $1.50) = $31.50; which certainly doesn't sounds very right, does it?
This means the corrected and upwards of 20 pcs discounted amount for fellow Lightbringer is: (20 × $1.60) + (5 × $1.50) = $39.50, which nets a $0.50 discount total.
Had to say in behalf of righteousness, but I can understand that since AEDe said nothing in this regard this cannot hold validity without his word (this means Lightbringer can still have his $2 cookie).
On the other hand, with regard's to PayPal fees: https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/paypal-fees#transfers (I had to change my system language and clear some cookies for me to reach that page in english, fLIck1ng age of location aware and language auto selection systems, stinks imho)
After cheching that mess out, I understand AEDe's confusion. Now that I notice, I should say that I use a bank account to fund my PayPal balance, but I do not mean to add more confusion here so I'll abide to the general fee consensus and let AEDe take a little tip. Part of this “screw-up” is due to PayPal listing the fee which drags of received amounts. From the sender's side it would be a lot easier to see how much to add, but because of this some math is needed. Given xnet as the net amount of money received by AEDe and xgross the adjusted gross amount to transfer:
Well, if any maven thinks this deserves any further correction please say so.

Not really. Lots of places I dealt with had breakdowns of, say, 1-10, 11-25, 26-50, etc. And absolutely, there’d be this never-never land where getting, say, 24 or even 23 items would be more expensive than getting 25 with the new breakdown.
Damn, can’t recall their name, but one place that sold thermostats (small bimetallic doodads, not wall-mounted ones; Eleco, Elenco, something like that) had this rather retarded breakdown of 11bux each for 1-2, 7bux for 3-5, and so on, ‘til you started to get to the more realistic prices of 50¢ each for 1000+.
And no, it wasn’t to cover the cost of shipping, as shipping was extra. They just did that to dissuade “small” customers.

I think I’ll just leave it as, “Hey AEDe, lemme know how much I owe ya…” and save myself the headache.
Absolute worst case, it’s just, “Aw, screw it, I’ll just use 219Bs…” if things get too crazy. I make it my life’s goal to avoid headaches. It’s a good philosophy, trust me.
If this is anything like the tracked and registered mail I’ve got from Croatia (LED4Power) it will require a signature. After you miss it you can sign for it to be left or picked up at the post office or re-delivered but I don’t think there is a way to “sign” for it in advance with USPS.
Just a probable heads up for people.
And back to being off topic:
The paypal method you choose adds money for buyer protection and their cut. If you choose F&F they still take their cut but it comes from from the person sending the payment and includes no protection. If you choose goods some of it comes from the seller’s cut I believe. It’s oversimplifying it but it is what it is. This all excludes credit card fees as well.

3 is 13.22 each.
Next breakdown is at 25, for 10.35 each!
So… hang on, gonna do cheap math here.
25 × 10.35 is 258.75.
So how many at 13.22 does that buy?
Only 19! (19.57something, assuming no Pentium Bug.)
So from 20 to 24 units, it’s more expensive, and would be actually cheaper to buy more units, 25, at the lower rate.
Happens all the time.
