Home Depot Deal Alerts & Discussion Thread

Connecticut much better luck then central New Jersey, where there is never and I mean never anything remotely good or interesting on clearance in about 6 HD radius from me.

That may be true, I don’t know. But last year as we traveled through NJ my wife allowed me to stop along the way in a few stores. Found penny stuff in all of them.

Here is a receipt with the store address not blocked out on a couple of Bosch “Laser Measurers” In the post above I had ghosted out the store address.
Found a bunch of stuff in the Worlds largest HD in Union, NJ too

You probably didn’t know we have a shed also

I should of known—I’m a Collector also

Yeah just gotta be in the right location, Neptune and Union are about 1 hour each way from where I am so it’s tough to rationalize the drive not knowing if you will find something or come up empty.

I visited the HD in Chesterfield, MO, this morning and saw a cart full of various 1-cent LED bulbs, but I learned they were not for sale and were to be donated, probably to Habitat for Humanity.

I just came from my local Home Depot and saw these. 1/2 inch impact driver, battery and charger for $50!

There were 9 and as I was looking at them another guy walked up from the other side of the table.
Then I noticed that it included a 4Ah battery! When I told him that and showed him that the battery goes for $79 by inself, he grabbed 2.

So not to be out done, I grabbed 3
After off loading into my car I went back in. When I saw that the tool only package goes for $119.00, I bought 2 more. :sunglasses:

Then I went back in again, this all took about 10 minutes, and the last two were still there.
So I said what the heck, I’ll grab those too. :person_facepalming:

ugh, wow I need a new battery and charger for my older nicad ryoibi, this would be perfect if it even existed near me at that price, I was looking at a battery/charger set up for $60, I need to move to CT lol.

I have a lot of the old NiCd Ryobi tools and they really perform well using the compatible Li-Ion bats

yeah another wasted trip for me, they had a kit like that but with 2 batteries for $100, seems like they ship all the good stuff to Connecticut.

Sometimes they just make it too easy

I just got back from traveling, here are some good deals I found.

This combination pack of square and level rang up for $2.53

Here is a 5 piece plier set I missed!

These Wiss duckbill cutters rang up for $3.53. You may still find them mixed in with a similar looking straight cutter.

And Ryobi now has a 6Ah battery!

But if you think that is something, Milwaukee now has a 12Ah battery pack, although I have yet to see one for sale.

These Feit recess can replacements are $3.83 for both the 6” and the 4” —— Great tint very bright

Also this 10 pack of bulbs was $7—- one of my favorite bulb for tint

Jeez dchomak,

I like to just get one of those in my garage… deals like that at the home depots near me are unicorns…

You must make a good living just selling home depot clearance stuff…

Yeh, I figured by now dchomak had single handedly bankrupted that store and forced it to shut down. :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Word, dude a legend on BLF for finding those great deals.

Been going a long time without posting up HD deals! Just not much out there nowadays, or too busy to post up? (Question directed to all, but dchomak first and foremost.)

The Glory Days of the Defiant Super Thrower appear over. Well let’s see if this Black Friday and Xmas throws us a last hurrah.

Hmm, I have one of those sitting here right next to me….

The Defiant 500-Lumen Utility LED Light is $9.97 at Home Depot. It runs on four AA batteries which are included. Actually the batteries provided are Defiant alkaline batteries with a 2023 expiration date.

The light is cool white and the beam is very homogeneous over about a 160 degree cone. The advertised 500 lumens looks accurate. Since I'm going to store it in the trunk of my car, I replaced the alkaleaks with AmazonBasics High Capacity Ni-MH AA batteries. Plenty of room is provided in the battery compartment for these slightly over-sized high capacity batteries. The overall build quality of this utility light is actually quite good.

This Home Depot special has been posted on BensBargains.com off-and on for a week, but I haven't noticed it in this thread. Pardon if I've double posted.

Edit: If anyone is interested in some limited test data on AmazonBasics High Capacity Batteries, check out this post. << Conclusion, you may be better off with Eneloop batteries for longevity. Edited.>>
