I have the tracking code
It’s not working yet

I hope things are finally going in the right direction

I would wait for Neal to get back to you. He has already had over 120 orders last I checked so needless to say he is having a hard time keeping up.

Ordered, with all the extras, paid, donated, Replied to Neil’s email.

After waiting patiently all this while, now comes the part where I get to check my e-mail/tracking 500 times a day. Like a kid awaiting Christmas.

My thanks to TA and ALL of the Giggles team.

And I keep asking myself, why didn’t I get 2??! Or 3…

Lol

I understand that particularly for batteries in series, it is important to keep them balanced, and not split up the set. Since I assume that there will be people who are planning to power the GT with both the short and the long tube from the same original set of batteries - splitting up the original eight cells into two sets and draining both sets of four cells unevenly - I was wondering how important it is to follow that rule when it comes to parallel configurations?

We are talking about two parallel 50Wh batteries, which seems like a fair bit of energy. Would it be inviting disaster not to keep a separate set of four cells handy for the short tube?

Hi Team,

I got a PM about the group buy for my last two lights, but in the PM where it says “here is your link” and “Password” It’s just blank.

The most important thing is that the 4 cells in each carrier match.

Each set of 4 cells should match but unofficially will work as long as the voltage is the same between them. So if all 8 cells are fresh off the charger and you put 4 matching cells in each carrier, this should be fine.

I have been using my GT like this since the start.

That said it is not recommended and is unofficial, just my experience.

PM sent

Paypal sent for 2 more!!!

Thanks for the reply. Personally, for me the short tube is more of a gimmick for laughs than anything that I plan to use in real-life situations, and for the few times that I expect to use it I’ll probably just grab the cells from my Q8 or one of the Astrolux MF models. But I was worried that someone might potentially cause a dangerous situation by using either both one or two carriers at different times. Seems like it’s not as much of an issue as I thought it might be.

Sorry for the late response. I stopped receiving notifications for this thread yesterday and just woke up and checked to see 86 new messages. Anyway…

Contrary to Teachers response, I would have to say No, there is not a guaranteed supply for people on the group buy list at the level your currently listed (fourth batch of PM’s, #1426 and higher)

Of the 710 people waiting to buy lights, there are only 650 lights available. TA and I believe that there will be a fair number of people that decide not to purchase and/or drop out.

In 2 weeks we will see what the drop out rate is for the 3rd batch. There could be enough for everyone in batch #4 or it might be close.

Then in 4 weeks the last PM’s will go out and it will be a first come, first serve basis. I think everyone that orders in the first few days or week will get one, but if demand is still higher than supply, the people that try to order a week or two after the last PM’s arrive might miss out.

Again, we really don’t know for sure the drop out rate.

Now we expect more GT Videos!

Thanks Texas, yeah I followed all instructions for my lights and paid. The paypal payment receipt has my old paypal e mail address on it. Even thought I updated to my new e mail address. And any notifications will be sent there. IE…. order confirmation, shipping tracking numbers, etc…… as per order instructions. I wanted to make sure Neal has correct and updated e mail to send all and any notifications in regard to my order.

I also have a sneak peak of what one of them might be and I think you will like it.

WOW starts right there at 10:40

but i recommend to watch from the beginning ;)

I'm sure I'll like it. He is simply a talent and doing great videos! :)

The original GT-vid already reached 500k! - and this with a topic, which, unfortunately I have to say this, isn't targeting a broad audience.
But the GT for sure is no ED(C) light ;) This thing is very special. Special in what the final product is, but also special how it came into life! Thanks again for that!

I'm waiting for my second now, and hope that there will be an upgrade kit available after GB has successfully closed...
I would really like to try to swap the MCPCB/LED on one. Maybe also the driver.... never done this before. So must be a fool proof solution... ;)

Your XHP70 GT beam-shot is impressive. (GT beamshot)

I am just waiting for my new lux meter to show up so I can get some numbers from the XHP70.2 GT’s I put together with the prototype mcpcb’s.

Then I will be listing one or both of them for sale. Figure I will auction them off and see how high they can go. I think I have earned making some profit off this project.

I want one of those too!!!
