Can anyone tell me how DX works?

I ordered from them last thursday, money went out of my paypal, but I got no Conformation email from DX. Now when I log in, It says I have placed no orders. I opened a ticket two days ago but have had no reply.

You are supposed to have a confirmation email from DX. No email = no orders. Open a live chat, but do take note of HK hours.

It doesn't seem to matter what time I go on live help, It just says not available.

I do have a paypal transaction number from DX.

You have to know what email are you getting. (1) is the paypal receipt, direct from paypal. (2) is the email that confirms your purchase, from a DX email address.

Yes, I have definitely had no email from DX confirming purchase. When I completed the transaction DX gave me a Paypal transaction number, It just came up on screen.

DX is totally messed up right now and they are saying it will take them 7-10 days to respond to customer service requests. Hopefully your order will turn out okay.

Yes I hope so. I have just had dealings with Dino. It's a bit like being kidnapped by Bin laden, miss treated for 6 weeks, managing to escape, running down the street, banging on the first door that looks friendly. The door openning and Saddam hussein is stood there. 'Come in friend'

Your order might have gone into the new account management system. Use DX.com to check your order or click on the bold line on your account page forwarding you to the new beta account system.

I have just realised that I did not get and email from Paypal for the transaction, even though the money has gone out of my paypal account.

I placed an order with DX (thru old site) on 2/1/2012. That order doesn't show up in the new (DX.com) site, however an older order from Dec. 2011 does show up in the new site. Viewing the status / tracking seems a bit goofy on the new order thru the old site. Apparently they split my order and shipped what they had (glad they did, as what they didn't have was no big deal). The status says something like "waiting on supplier" - it doesn't give me any status on the stuff that actually shipped. There is a tracking number, but it's stuck at the first stage saying "The item (RT122380175HK) was posted on 14-Feb-2012". I got an email from DX saying my order shipped on 2/12/2012. What I don't like is that that email doesn't tell me they split my order. I wouldn't have known if I didn't log into my account and investigate it. (Oh, and nowhere is there a photo of my shipment.)

It does seem like there is some goofiness during this parallel running of their old site and their new site.

Yeah done that, but it says no orders made. I just don't get it. They took my money!

Well I didn't know they had a new website till this morning. I have tried tracing my order on both sites with no luck.

Same thing happened to me. No email, no order, just receipt of payment. No answer too.

I think you need to push the button. Paypal that is. Open dispute under payment not recognized. I think this is the only language they understand right now.

Just stay away from DX for a while. They are in absolute mess.

And I do get your analogy :). I had an awful time with DX, after finally getting my money back the hard way, I tried AirAccent. I wish I hadn't. I could have sworn these two (DX / AA) are the same company! (Anyone can check this out?) Very similar items & descriptions, similar pricing, similar CLAIM IN STOCK BUT NO STOCK AFTER PAYMENT...

Over the past 6 months or so I've placed five or six seperate orders with DX. Not once have I ever had the slightest acknowledgement from them in any imaginable way. No confirmation, no 'Thank you for your order..', no order number, nothing. And yet all my ordered items have, EVENTUALLY, reached me in good condition.

Come to that, I don't think I've ever received any type of email from Paypal, either.

Well funny you say that! I always get a transaction receipt email from paypal, but this time I did not. I have emailed them, they said they sent it but are looking into why I did not receive it.

I think I will just wait and see. I have to say the Chinese do things a little differently!

I don't think you will have to worry, if they got your money DX always sends the goods, but it takes a month usually. BTW, did you check your SPAM folder?

Yeah it's not there either.

Never mind! I've been waiting 6 weeks for a torch from dino, that never even shipped! So i'll just wait.

Yeah, the funny thing is I've been buying from dino and dx since just after Christmas, 4 orders in total, and none have even got to shipping stage yet!
