thanks
I agree, the HLAAA wont turn off w 10440

I use a 10440 in the tool and no issues.

If you mean a Tool with Mechanical switch, the difference is that the HLAAA has an electronic switch.

The TiTool w eSwitch also has different behavior than Tool w Mechanical Switch, TiTool comes on at High mode only, until the 10440 drops below 3.8v

so I would say No, the eSwitch HLAAA is not 10440 friendly

I’ve been looking for this for a couple months and recently found this, LINK ,it looks like lumintop had made them for Jiquoor but the headband isn’t included with it. During my search, I came across the similar Manker E02 without headband for $22.95 and the Manker E02H with headband for $25.95. The Manker has a Cree XPG3 with a 220 lumens turbo or a Nichia 219C with a 180 lumens turbo, and they include a moonlight mode. The lumintop only comes with a Cree XPG2 with only High 120 lumens/Mid/Low. If I could find the lumintop version with the headband for around $15 I would get that, but as this point with a similar cost, I’m leaning toward the Manker E02H.

The Manker E02 is a handy little light and the moonlight is plenty low for me. I don’t have the head strap for mine.

It seems the HLAAA is not available anywhere anymore.
I was hoping for a high CRI version to come along.
I have this ultra cute light though, but it seems impossible to take it apart.
Optic and switch bezels seem to be press fit.

I think it’s sold out.
I think they didn’t produce many of them.

It has issues,
When the cell is low you cannot switch it off without unscrewing the tailcap.

Only when you use 10440 battery, from what i’ve read.

No, with an Eneloop, I’ve had two Of these lights & both would not switch off after step down due to low voltage.

Try holding the switch in for a few seconds then releasing.

It's only true if you believe it.

I’ve had the light for a year or so ,I know how it works ,I have two of them ,if you have one then leave it on high for 25-30 minutes or so until it steps down and then try & turn it off .
They’ve never been used with a lithium cell ,I don’t own any lithium AAA cells.

Hmmm… I guess i never ran an AAA (be it NiMH or Alkaleaks) until the last drop in my HLAAA then…

I’ll switch it on in high mode with an Eneloop pro right now and i’ll report back.

The Eneloop is flat now.
Indeed, it is impossible to turn it off when the battery is depleted.
The button still does things, things that it shouldn’t be doing, and the light ends up in a kind of beacon mode, but it can only be turned off by unscrewing the tail cap… Facepalm
