I bought the DPS30V12A
https://www.ebay.com/itm/DP-30V-12A-Constant-Voltage-Current-Step-down-Programmable-Power-Supply-Module/122157173395?epid=546075462&hash=item1c71228a93:g:C2YAAOSw4shX7MrX
and am using the 9.7A 350W Regulated Switching Power Supply from Genessi

I have pictures of the setup

Anyway as seen in the pictures the screen of the DPS shows the output voltage only the output current(yellow) and output power (purple)are both at 0.00.
Also when trying to use other preconfigured options like M1…9 it’s reverting back to M0.
Up on top next to Set it shows what I programmed in volts and amps not at the output area.

could you make a video to show the problem, your picture is too blur, I can’t see it clearly
and please contact me by email 1749808860@qq.com, ok?

Nice power supplies, the screen makes it a bargain. But why so low frequency?
I wanted to drive power leds in cc mode. Given the fact that unit has very nice color screen!

Specialized LED drivers like the LED2001PHR work at 850khz fixed frequency so you don’t ever get flicker even on camera.

Is RDtech willing to release series for LED driving? Like RGB, RGBW versions would be awesome.
Even upgrading switching frequency on current units would be good enough for me.

you can connect the LED directly … only the current is closed to resolution , it will blinking
for example , DPS5015, the resultion is 0.01A, if the current is 0-0.05 , it will be blinking … when the current is more than 0.1a , it will not be blinking …
for DPS5005, The resolution is 0.001A, at 0-0.005, it will be blinking, more than 0.01A, it will not be blinking
so the resolution will affect this …

how can I connect bluetooth module ?

I cannot find any documentation on that subject.

I have DSP5005 with communication modules; USB works just fine but I cannot get Bluetooth module to work with DPS5005 PC Software V1.3.

How does blue-tooth module connects to DSP 5005?
Any information is welcome.

re the DPS5015, which I ve noticed there is not much referene to!

I have riged up a DPS5015, and it is working ok, loaded at 3 amps.
But, the fan is not moving.
My question, which , so far, no one has been able to answer, is “should the fan work all the time, or only at a certain temperature”?

In the models I have tested the fan start above a certain current, but also on temperature.

Noticed they have a 1000W cv cc buck converter, 50V and 20A.
Pretty impressive.

I’m still figuring out of I need and want one or not. (obviously, I want it but not really need it  )

As in my case, you won’t actually realize how much you need it until you get one

I really don’t know how I got by with out it, use it all the time.

1, Our DPS power supply android APP was published today,
A, Now it is only support communication version of DPS3005 , DPS5005 and DPS8005. If you have bluetooth board, you can connect it with android phone (only support android 5.0 and above).
This is the down load link (or you can check their file link ) My Files .
This is the video for APP : Android APP of DPS power supply publish for commummnication version of DPS5005,DPS3005, DPS8005 - YouTube
If you have USB version and not have BT board, you can make order here to buy a bluetooth board https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/RD-bluetooth-board-for-DPS-and-DPH-power-supply-communication-version/923042_32882334859.html (if you have no communication version, don’t buy it)
B, For other power supply communication version (DPS5015. DPS5020,DPH5005), APP is designing ,in the future Maybe you just update this app on line to get new APP. Now please wait our good news

UM34© video : New products UM34(C) and LD 25 USB Intelligent electronic load pulished - YouTube
A, UM34© is better than UM24©, same interface with UM25©, have USB 3.0 port.
B, only APP, not PC software, precision is better than UM24©, not better than UM25C,
C, LD24 is digital control USB load, have many protection(OVP,OPP,OTP) , can set the output state and current, big power 25w.

Hope you like our APP and new products

Do these latest versions support logging now? I have not kept up with them recently.

the APP has this function , for PC software, we did not add

I just spotted this DPH5005. Buck/Boost and up to 10A on the input side. Looks like a nice unit but I honestly wish it was even more powerful and could go up to 80vdc on the output to drive some of the new ~72vdc COBs.

I may still get one to use with some of my 36-40v COBs.

Edit: HKJ Review

Just needs a 80 volt power supply. Most are settable, set it at a little higher voltage and your good to go.

DPH series is buck boost. DPS is Buck only.

The more you boost voltage the less current it can output and the lower the efficiency is.
Making it a boost driver would overcomplicate things and just make it worse.
Get a good 80V power supply and just use the DPS.

No.

Maybe pair the DPS 8005 with this Page Not Found - Aliexpress.com?
If you think you might need a little more overhead choose the 500 watt model. Page Not Found - Aliexpress.com?

Okay

Lets be honest here. This is a flashlight forum and you’re suggesting that I use something that requires AC? If I wanted to do that, I could just buy a MeanWell HBG series LED driver/PSU.

The DPH series might be inefficient but it is potentially portable and it is flexible enough that I should be able to drive most any COB with it for testing.

Well then that’s your problem.

These DP power supplies are meant to be bench top power supplies.
If you want to build some giant flashlight with this instead of a regular LED driver then you just need to have enough batteries to reach 80V+ or use a DC to DC power supply. It doesn’t have to be AC. The DPS has DC input.
