I got my M2 quad together. It’s running LED4Power 12A driver, 4x Luxeon V on his MOSLED board, and his lighted tail switch.
It’s hard to tell if the O ring is being fully compressed but I can tell it’s at least getting some pressure so i’m not going to be concerned with water resistance. I’m not planning on submersing this in water.
Kiriba-ru did mention that the spacer is meant to not fit “snug” which surprised me at first. However, with thermal paste on both ends of the spacer and everything screwed down I don’t think anything is going to move and I’m getting ridiculous thermal transfer to the body. The light will get hot from head to tail if I let it.
I did ream out the middle hole with next size up drill bit I could find in my tools but only because the LED4Power setup requires 2 LED wires and 3 other ~24G wires for FET,Moon,Temp parts on MCPCB.
Ceiling bounce numbers:
Constant Current 12A setting: 4,000 lm
Direct Drive setting: 5,385 lm (@ turn on)
Moon is just a little brighter than my D4 Nichia.
It does 4,000 lm for about ~75 seconds before stepping down to 1,000 lm. I let it run 5m total and it never stepped down from 1,000 lm but the body was not comfortable to hold at this point.
According to current demand, next batch would not exist.
You can use 17mm driver if you solder it to the retaining ring.
You can use any suitable lenses. My idea was to supply most part so you could build second head and swap it when it is necessary.
I find these plastic boxes you use for shipping your orders very useful for storing bits and pieces of flashlight projects. Can you post a link to where you get them?
No.
I was not sure that there is any need in spacer since cheap triple sofirn host is available.
Also I dont think internal rivalry with C8TT is a good idea.
