We have a big difference between Olight X9 and the Acebean X70. About the same size but 12 XHP-70.2’s on tiny reflectors, that XHP-35 HI center led might get glared out even if it does throw. Slower than Chinese mail but the Olight X9 has 6 well spaced out XHP-70.2’s. I never was a fan of active cooling, more parts more drain. For myself the X9 is a big general purpose light. The X70 is a short range flood master with an extra led taking up reflector space. I’ll probable not buy either their much more than I’ll ever need. If I had too Olight wins the design and slowness award.
U can replace the battery pack on x9 unlike the x7r…, there are videos of it nothing strange, and they will sell battery tubes as extras too they said.
I assume Newlumen prefers charging his cells individually like with the GT as opposed to an 8 cell, wrapped and spot welded pack that you can only get from Olight.
What is this about the X7R? I thought it had four individual 18650 cells.
EDIT: I see they changed a lot on the R model. I thought it was mainly just a boost in output, but it looks like it’s a completely different light. It really sucks that you can’t even take the batteries out of it, but then again they might have been able to do balanced charging on each of the four cells. I’d have to do some more research to find out for sure.
Yea i think the x7r has 4 x samsung 30q 3000mah or something, really stupid u cant even take it out to buy extras if u need that, for the x9 u will able take it out which is good. thats why i didnt buy the x7r for the sealed battery because overtime u gonna need replace those and then u need send in the whole light to olight which is a hazzle…
