my older eneloops or duraloops(white tops) seem a bit better then the newer ones with the orange circle on them, especially AAA version, the performance on the older ones seems better, I wonder what changed.
Lowes also carries AA NIMH with the brand “Portfolio” near the lighting/outdoor solar lights area, I mainly just use them in my PC’s mouse and keyboard so can’t attest to their quality/performance in a flashlight but if you cant find them elsewhere take a look, they are ok
Like most places, it appears they only stock the China/Panasonic variety now. (In the non-pro versions anyway).
I’m not sure how they stack up for price these days compared to other US sellers but they’re much cheaper than Oz sellers.
I have a large stockpile of Eneloops but usually recommend the IKEA whites (=Eneloop pro) to friends who ask. About a third of the price of the Eneloops here.
I believe the cells at TomasD are the real deal. There is no indication they sell Chinese eneloops. Chinese eneloops are mainly for the Asian ,Oceanian,South American, African market.
Yes, Thomas Distributing only handles the Japan Eneloops. I called to verify before my last purchase a couple of months ago.
They are my go to online store for Eneloops.
I am still looking for the glitter ones hikarinoob :)
Fran, yes they are made in Japan. I might be uploading another video on Youtube with my latest envelope of eneloop goodies including a package of the AA botanics.
I got from Panasonic Canada today a set of BK3MCCA and they have eneloop printed on the side. I also have a set from Japan from a few months ago and they are BK3MCC and have panasonic printed on them. Any difference with these batteries?
@Klrman: the ones sold in Japan had a makeover in 2013. They have the Panasonic printed on the side. Everywhere else have eneloop printed on their side. They can both be the same battery. Some countries have Chinese eneloops, like Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Sputh America and Africa.
I see, thanks ChibiM. Also, I was thinking of getting the AA and AAA glitters for my collection but they are so expensive. Any tips where to find them at a fair price?
Good question! They are rediculous expensive yes. Unfortunately I also dont know. Thereare some available on eBay, but they are expensive... Same in Japan.
