i really didn't want to buy this, but for $7.75 i couldn't resist. i put in in my cart, ate too much turkey, came back and it is $11.62. i can resist now. in fact, i can now resist dino direct completely.

This DinoDirect scam reeks of pure evil.
Yep, that's what it is. I just finished reading "Smart Pricing" by Raju and Zhang, which includes a very interesting chapter on how and why well-managed Chinese companies successfully start price wars, when others wouldn't dare initiate one. This could serve as a textbook example on how not to do it.
I really don't want to reward companies for shoddy or non-existant customer service (which is why I won't buy from KD any more) and this is basically the business equivalent of giving your customers the finger. I don't care if I have to pay a buck more at DX, FP or some other place that at least tries to treat its customers right.
They Probably got hit really really hard and it freaked them out and someone got the brilliant idea ..."hey lets crank of the original prices and see if we can still get the traffic
what happened is they did it in the middle of people buying on a holiday and people saw the prices go up in front of them ..
that just pissed people off ..
it's their stuff and thye can sell it for whatever they want .. but changing prices from the shopping cart to check out is unforgivable .
people who checked out fast got some deals at pretty good prices .. they were good deals just not insane deals ..
It is one reason why this store is one of the not-recommended in FL.
There was an offer flashlight + batteries + charger. They (DD) just sent the torch.
When we protest by not sending the whole pack, they changed the offer page by another. In our face.
Then they said they did not understand why we protested. According to the (new) page was all right.
Fortunately we did previously screenshots were very helpful to press with Paypal.
Were it not so they'd be laughing with our money in their hands. Since then in FL are known as "the nameless shop".
It is clear that each can spend your money anywhere. Some have good personal references from this store ... yet.
For me a discount coupon of 50% of nothing is nothing.

In a real life business a discount of 50% is already suspicious in itself. Either they had an undecent high margin before the discount, or they have closed to non profit with the discounted price. However, a serious business man would never give you a 50% discount.
The time spent on this is a pure waste.... I was discussing this on a forum as it happened and realized .."I wasn't looking for deals elsewhere .. That's what I want from dino direct ..My time back ......I'm done thinking about it ..a waste of time
I got in on a bunch of stuff when they had the really good sales early on before the price changes. They all came in today. I'm happy with my purchases :)
