ReyLight groupbuy: Titanium LAN | New Pineapple | Red Copper Pineapple

I think what they mean is that it takes AA or 14500

Maybe it means the Titanium is so shiny that is serves as a second light source by reflecting light. :smiley: I have both the TiLan and Pineapple and there definitely is only one 219c emitter.

Can anyone recommend a Modder to install trits in the Ti Lan for me ?

RobertB

Here is a video of how to add trits.

Dual light source, it should be mistake, only one LED. Maybe Banggood wants to say it supports both AA and 14500.
The price doesn’t include any trits.

I would be surprised if those Trits or so called “trit vials” were included in the sales price. If I understand the price @ Banggood correctly, it is $ 7,69 for one (!) trit vial. Looking onto the Reylight Titanium LAN I guess you need 4 trit vials for the head and 7 trit vials for the tail cap to have full fitting. So, that adds up to $ 84,59 on top of the price for the flashlight.

Personally, I am happy that the flashlight will come “naked” without these trits for Tritium is known to be a radioactive gas, emitting beta radiation. I would rather put some phosphorescent epoxy onto my flashlights than any radiating material, even if they tell you with tongues of angels how harmless it seems to be.

I feel the same way and the lights look gorgeous even without trits.

Is there any reason why the price of the titanium version is missing (maybe because it’s not supposed to be disclosed unlike the other versions)?

I was asked to remove the price.

@Rey and Max.

Do you guys think the shipping date off the 15th of June, like banggood mentions on their site,will be met?

I don’t know when this group buy will end. I have brass and copper in stock, and will have Ti within this week.

I wasn’t planning on buying 14500 lights, but this post kept popping up whenever I logged onto BLF… Now I have the Ti and the brass light preordered! Now, it seems I have to order some batteries and trits as well, you gotta love BLF.

Is the copper the same host as the brass or TI version? I like the TI version more.

How much is the copper version?

The copper is smaller, using AAA/10440 , while the brass and Ti use AA/14500.
22$ on banggood page.

I had to get in on the Brass Pineapple sale, visited a BLF buddy this weekend and got to see one in person. It looks cool enough in pictures but when you get to use one and handle it you really get a feel for the quality. A big selling point for me is the attached clip, not a fan of clip-ons. This one’s a beaut.
Yes, it’s so heavy compared to an aluminum light, but I’m not an ultralight hiker and it’s not TOO heavy. If I need a lightweight flashlight there are plenty of those within reach.
Also has some features which set it above the average 3-4 mode light:

(from the site)
Reverse polarity protection;
LVP (low voltage protection) for Li-ion battery;
Temperature control to avoid overheating problems.
Starts at the moon every time by default. After 8 quick taps, it will stop and strobe, if it stops at high mode, means memory function is activated. It will remember the last used mode. Another 8 taps, it will turn off the memory function and starts at moon mode every time.

OIC, I actually have all three of them.

Just preordered the brass and copper. I’m a big fan of copper, but this will be my first brass light. Can’t wait.

I´m quite interested in the Pineapple Mini Copper :slight_smile:

Before preordering I have 2 Questions

The Mini Copper is a twisty light, right?
Because in the BG description is claimed: “Switch type: clicky”; That´s wrong, isn´t it?

Does the copper finish have a coating?

It is a TWISTY.

It is sealed in vacuum wrapping. It has a very very thin clear coating to prevent any patina during assembling.
Bare hand could help remove the coating.

Thank you for the information and the opportunity :+1:

Preordered the Pineapple Mini Copper :slight_smile:
