[GB ended, news update only] Last batch of 219B sw45k R9080 and sw40 R9080

Gsheet list updated, please re-check as always.

Thanks,
Clemence

Maybe it just seems to me, but I have the impression that most of the list has been filled by people who have few posts (including me). What can be the cause of this phenomenon?

Google says its 7:30 GMT

I want
4x SW40 + a triple noctigon MCPCB + intl. shipping.

$19.2

What must I do now?
Joechina

Edit: And what colour temp has SW40? I want a rosy tint. I just start reading the thread.
Is somewhere info?
I just panic a little now!!

Edit, Edit: OK SW40 seems to be what I want.

I just now made the paypal payment. Thank you for providing the service!

I don’t know the proportions buying these but I wouldn’t be surprised if those with few posts in the whole forum outnumber those with many, possibly greatly. There’s probably also a rather large group of lurkers who have never posted.

In general, people with more posts have been members longer, so their 219B itch has probably already been scratched when the sw45k was all the rage. Personally, I got into this hobby when the last of the sw40’s were being snatched up over at Mountain Electronics, so I was only able to assemble one triple with those. That had quickly turned me into a Nichia fanboy. I never had my hands on some sw45k’s, so I couldn’t resist this offer. Sure, 219C’s are great, but these are somewhat legendary!

How about you? What piqued your interest in this offer?

I am sure there is some truth to that.

Payed via PayPal
$33.9
for
Joechina

  • 9x SW40
  • a triple noctigon 3xP MCPCB
  • intl. shipping.
  • soldering

sorry, I changed my order, hope the sum is correct.

Now you have to thank Korpzgrinda for being late with his payment, because otherwise I would refuse your order. The minimum amount I can withdraw from Paypal without having to pay withdrawal fees is ~ USD 150.

Clemence  thank you for doing all this. It’s a lot of hard work on your part and it’s apparent this is not for profit but for the benefit of the community. You are defitnitely as class act!

It’s mutual IMHO. Without BLF help I would need more time to accumulate enough fund to meet Nichia’s MOQ. There’s also another team work between several manufacturers on my ends. We’re doing great!

- Clemence

I’ve already ordered. But can I get my remaining 6 sw40 R9080 reflowed onto 2 triples?

OK, no problem. Just add two additional Noctigons 3XP (is it the parallel only board?) plus 2x soldering services to my Paypal.

- Clemence

That is correct. 3xp parallel boards. X2. Paypal sent!

I also thought I would never write anything. I just wanted to buy a kiriba p60 quad pill. Unfortunately, I became addicted …

I made one triple sw45 flashlight and when I saw this color I found it perfect for me. I bought this led at the Clemence store, before the store’s offer ended.
As for the 4000k color, I want to compare it to 219c, because I have never had the opportunity to see this color.
Other thing is from 5000k. I have 219b and 219c in this color and comparing one next to the other, 219c it seems to me greenish, and 219b perfectly white.

Before Clemence started his shop, 1.5 year ago, there was a group buy of Nichia leds via him. Many of us CRI-addicted longterm members bought a stash at that time. After he started his shop these R9080 219B leds were still for sale for a while. So I’m not surprised that this sale mainly attracts new members.

That’s a good point!

Still, I bought some almost at the beginning, yet I came back for more because I was terrified of running out without a suitable replacement being available!

Also this thread caused me to think of some new uses for them.

Speaking for myself, I have been a loooong time member with high post count at the other flashaholic forum. I had lurked here as well, and tried to sign up but had trouble with my sign in. When I saw a tip about this last chance to get these, I had to enlist member help to contact the admin to reset my account. It seems the software does not like to send e-mail to .att addresses. The last time I got a supply of HCRI power LED’s was a 219A group buy quite a few years ago.

+100 thanking Clemence for doing this! Quality of light over Quantity of light every time for me!

I have 4 flashlights in heavy use (including 2x skilhunts h02) for 3 years, my brother also 2x skilhunts. Suddenly, two weeks ago, I realized, that I want much better light quality than the ordinary green xm-l2 t6-4c. I tried Nichia 219B 9050 5000K from Astrolux A01, but it has green tint too, green on all my three a01. Anyway, the difference was so immense, that I installed nichia from it to my skilhunt on a01 14mm board “as is”. Planned to go to Kaidomain for their ordinary 219C 9050 (or what they are selling)… Thankfully, AED gave me a hint about GB on BLF with such unique stuff  that’s why I am here

I thought about Nichia E21 9080 5000K from Clemence, but is appears to be too expensive, 4x led + star + reflow, more than 20usd, and I need at least 2 of them, or 4. Will try more usual 219.

ps I only now discovered, that paypal charges fixed fee from every transaction. Sorry Clemence, I will be more responsible in the future.

UPDATE 180611:
Because of Optisolis shortage my PO could not be processed (PO combined with these 219Bs). And then, there’s this long national holiday in Indonesia (Idul Fitri) from 1806(11-21). I got a confirmation that the PO will be processed after 180621.
