Group Buy: Wuben TO10R and TO46R (real 90+CRI triple XP-G3) - CLOSED!!

Hi everyone! Lists updated with payment info.

Members marked with bold/red either haven't paid yet or missed the requirement of adding their username in PayPal note.

Would you all please handle the payment ASAP? ..or at least let me know if you want to bail out.

Ps. In order to get Wuben shipping the lights for members that have already paid, I promised to buy all the unclaimed lights. Trusting to fellow members was probably a silly thing to do.. Currently, it looks like I'll get 68 lights.

If you end up getting stuck with alot of lights, i might buy some from you later (dont have the extra money atm), to help you out.

Why is my username marked? I paid immediately and added my username to the PP note. I’ve even received the tracking number.

My bad. I had to manually fix usernames that contained spaces and made a mistake on your username.

Very sorry for the mistake! Fixed now.

I might take another 1-2 pcs more TO46R, but I can only promise that, if I get my hand on the first piece, and I fall in love with it. (I hope, there will be no glues at all in these lights, because I will consider some modding as well).

To be clear…are lights now shipping to EVERYONE who has paid and provided info…or do we need to wait until everyone is paid??

When can I expect tracking info? Thank you.

Wow, thanks… I’m sorry to see this happen to you, sounds like you guaranteed them sale of 100pcs. (50pcs. of ea. model) to get the pricing.

I guess there was no previous plan or agreement with Wuben as to what would happen if payment wasn’t received for the minimum quantity. But it’s something to think about for anyone considering organizing a future GB.

Looks like 29 lights currently unpaid, but that’s still around $1000 out of your pocket. Hopefully everyone pays up.

The lights are shipping to everyone who has paid and provided info. You are ok if your name is not shown as red.

They are shipped directly from Wuben factory, which requires manual work and restricts the number of lights shipped / day. Please wait patiently.

Originally it was 100+100, but we changed it to 100+50+50 boards.

Something like that. I estimated the number of reservations and thought that I’d get maybe 10-20 lights.

The fact that so many would not pay came as a big surprise.

[Don’t get me wrong - I’m not complaining and I will buy every extra light - They are totally worth the price and will be sold here locally :)]

I’m still gathering buyers so I’m almost certain I’ll take more on top of the other I already bought. Definitely worth the money! Great flashlights…

question-is possible to use in this torch unprotected cells?

Yes you can, it has a low voltage warning at 2.8v. It’s designed to use protected cells so expect battery rattle. A bit of insulation tape around the cell can solve that. If you drop the light while it’s on it might switch off due the lack of spring compression when using the shorter unprotected cells. I did a drop test on a carpet. So I’m sticking to protected cells in this light.

ok.but using the xpl or nichias predict to use a different driver…for maximum output…iam right?

Using XPLs, you will get more output at the expense of runtime and less constant brightness.

Using Nichia 219Cs 4000k 90CRI+, you will get slightly less brightness in exchange for much longer regulated runtime and even better color temperature.

no need to change the driver??

No. You are swapping 3V LEDs for 3V LEDs. No problem there.

hm…i wonder, how much lumens can we reach with the lets say nichia upgrade…what do you think?

About the same really, but brightness will stay more constant over the runtime of the light.

Not really. The output is fully regulated other than a timed stepdown at about 2 minutes on turbo and high (high and medium on the TO10R).
