You know Glenn, the first split second I saw the picture of the grill (Non Flashlight orders/received - #335 by atbglenn) I thought it was a hifi amplifier with the volume knob in the middle. :disappointed:
I bought a mini blower to clean electronics and lights i was thinking of using it on reflectors as i have no proper size compressor. I do have a tyre compressor. Its okay i was eying out a Makita but cheapened out the battery operated ones look good but not enough blow
I’ve got the Makita MAC700. I have it about 5 years now. I think it’s the best small compressor made. It’s quiet, fills from zero to 120psi in about 45 seconds. I couldn’t be happier.
My 20 year old Mitutoyo finally died so I ordered an iGaging ABSOLUTE ORIGIN 0-6” Digital Electronic Caliper - IP54 Protection / Extreme Accuracy. Ordered it from Amazon Prime. I’ll have it Sunday. From the reviews I watched on youtube, it’s supposed to be excellent.
Glenn, great choice! The 8” version of this caliper has been sitting in my Amazon “saved for later” list for a long time now, just waiting to pull the trigger, but for the time being I make do with the cheapo caliper I got from Gearbest on some big sale last year.
Sorry about pushing this new griddle, but it’s incredible. I always wondered why Hebrew National Hot Dogs always tasted better when I got them at my local kosher take-out place. Anyway, I cooked 2 of them on my Blackstone today, and guess what? they were just as good! I think it might be the high heat this griddle produces. Not sure though. Mustard and Sauerkraut is the only way to go. JMO….
Yeah, when boiling HDs the usual way, what I used to do was drain out all the water, score the HDs diagonally all around, then “fry” them in the now-dry pot ’til they’d leach out some fat, cook in it, and brown a little bit all around.
It’s goooooood eatin’!
Gotta scour out the pot afterwards, ’cause the fat “boils out” to dark marks on the pot, but it’s worth it
Wish I had those roller-type HD cookers like you see at ballparks, 7-11, etc. Crank up the heat, let ’em cook ’til they’re shrivelled up like slim-jims, and… oh, man, I’m getting so hungry now…
I got one of these off Amazon a few years ago. Works perfectly. That or the grill is the only way I like em. You’re right, the longer they are on there, the better they get.
Got this Lodge LGP3 Rectangular Cast Iron Grill Press today. . This thing is heavy at 2.1 pounds! I’ll be using it to keep bacon flat and for making smash burgers.
Got a gallon of WD-40 and a SureShot Sprayer for the WD-40. It works much better than the standard aerosol cans for my needs. I’m using it to coat my drill press exposed steel surfaces and any steel tools that may rust in my garage. It has a much wider spray pattern and finer mist than the aerosol cans. You simply fill the can three-quarters full, and pressurize it with 120 psi and you’re off and running. It works great.
