The There Are No Stupid Questions Thread

I just got a new flashlight. I noticed there was some little dust particles on the lens on the inside. So I took the bezel off and cleaned the glass on both sides with a microfiber towel. While I was doing that, dust particles fell into the reflector! How do I get it out of there?? I wish I would have never taken the lens out!

“Canned air”.

Else a little squeezy-bulb thing like to clean camera lenses would work. Just never ever ever touch the reflector.

Don’t touch it with what? Fingers, or the microfiber towel?

Don’t touch it with anything.

Where can I find a replace switch boot for my Eagletac D25A Ti? It’s currently torn and I want to try other channels before going to Eagletac.

Welp. I guess I made my first major newb mistake. I thought a soft microfiber towel would be OK for that but I guess not. It left some fine scratches. Light is still bright so I’m just gonna reassemble it and leave it alone. Lesson learned unfortunately.

What flashlight you have?

SF36.

There are some on KD.
Might not be able to get a white one to fit, think I used one of these on the D25C

Has anyone else contemplated when technology may evolve to the point that one can have a light permanently embedded in their forehead to allow immediate access to a headlamp by just thinking it on?

Or just buy a whole lotta trits from FT.

Thanks for the tip CRX… was just there and pondering about the height… I’m assuming it would be the shallower 5.5mm…

Is there an alternative for the Courui D01?

Why not contacting eagletac?
I needed a replacement lens for my d15lc2 and after contacting them they have sent me a new lens for just the shipping
Costs.

What am I missing?, my old D25A Ti has a switch of the exact same dimensions of the best and easiest to get modding switch, the Omten 1288.

Did they use another switch in newer models?

:person_facepalming: never mind, it was about the cap, not the switch.

The GT has a 1/4”–20 threaded hole to accept a tripod.

I don’t have one, but it appears the MF04 has a larger hole that will need an insert to step it down to the standard 1/4”–20 thread.

Are you asking about something else?

He only wants to know what tripod to use with his lights.

Here is a good one I use:

However, it is close to the limit of 3kgs with the BLF GT and Astrolux MF04.

Carries the Q8 and MT09R quite well though.

You should contact Tracy here, maybe they have spare reflectors.

Yup you are right. I sent them an email via their website and got a response to send them payment and they will send the switch boot cover. Thanks for the feedback. This is why I like this site and the members on here.

I do have a stupid question. It’s been a while since I posted here, even if I visit frecuently.
How do I post a new thread?. Thanks in advance.
