I recently received an Allmaybe TC2 (aka XTAR ET1), but am still curious as to how it would perform under the rigors of an HKJ test.

As I noted in the other post, for some odd reason, XTAR doesn’t market an English version of this charger; they only do so under their lesser-known (unknown?) Allmaybe brand.

So it’s only available directly from their Aliexpress or eBay US. stores.

I can try to help persuade them to send a review unit, as I only discovered this model after contacting XTAR directly inquiring about the English version that I didn’t know existed at the time.

I am, of course, interested in reviewing that charger. Your post is the first I have heard about it.
Xtar has been nice about sending their new chargers to me for some time, but I have not been contacted about that model. You are welcome to ask them about sending me a copy for test.

I’d love to get this Xtar PB2 power bank reviewed as soon as it’s available (or if you can get it sooner):

Portable, 2 × 1A, removable 18650’s but in an enclosed case.

I checked that charger long time ago: https://lygte-info.dk/review/Review%20Charger%20Keeppower%20L2%20UK.html Use this table to see what I have reviewed: https://lygte-info.dk/info/roundCellChargerIndex%20UK.html[/quote]

Thanks for the nice review.  I saved your table of all the chargers you reviewed and for some reason, even though you reviewed it,  the Keeppower L2 isn't in that link you provided with the table.

It is in the table now, I must have missed it when I created the table.

How about the Soshine M20?
It costs 19€ ($22), seems to be less expensive than my usual requests Wink

I have not done anything with prismatic LiIon batteries, neither the charger or the batteries and I do not really know if I want to.

That one looks interesting, but you are a bit early, it is not possible to buy it yet and please do not link to Russian Aliexpress pages, now I am going to have adds in Russian.

HKJ could you recommend me some good 4-slot chargers that have balancing feature, so i can take batteries out anytime for use in parallel, without having to wait until all batteries are fully charged? Thanks

I don’t think any round cell charger does this. But you could set an earlier termination voltage on the SkyRC MC3000.

Generally round cell chargers to not use balanced charging, you have to wait until all are charged.
Hobby chargers wired to charge in series with balancing may be able to do it for LiIon.

If you know the LiIon batteries are at about the same charge level you can wire them in parallel and then charge them, hobby charger is best for this.

I could do that, in fact I have written the review, but I do not know when I will publish it. Next week will probably be Xtar

I found that the new Xtar PB2 has this function

However it has only 2 slots. I thought any charger that has powerbank function must has this feature

Can you already estimate if and when the Xtar PB2 will be reviewed, HKJ?

Hello HKJ,

This might be ‘just another’ budget one cell charger, but it might worth to take a look at it, because this thing is compatible with lengthier cells as well (21700):
https://www.banggood.com/BASEN-BO1-3_7v-Colorful-Li-ion-Battery-Charger-...

Ok, this is available in some ridiculous colors as well, but one could hope, it can perform better, than the single Basen branded charger you reviewed back in 2014 Smile

Some other note: currently your charger index page contains the exact same content two times.

I have a couple of Basen charger reviews on the way.

Hi Henrik,
did you know this one? I find it very interesting: it’s both a charger and a powerbank, it should reach 2A and it’s even tinier than the Folomov A1… one could just carry it as EDC and forget about it until it’s needed.

It does reach the rated 2A, as I have had it run at 1.94A with my USB meter.

The problem? The temperature. It gets quite hot under load, and makes the cell quite a bit warmer than ambient temp.

I have ordered one, but it will be some time. I have just received a very interesting and advanced charger and I also need to do some other first.

Not yet, I am not sure the charger is official yet (I have just received it and not even opened the box).

If it's even better than the mc3000, it could be my next buy.
