The $17.99 price is a great deal for a four-slot analyzing charger. This charger is set up somewhat like the Lii-500 in that the layout seems up-side-down. But from the BLF reviews (below), it seems like a decent charger. I don't really need another charger, but couldn't resist picking one up at this price! Thank!
I don’t know who Ben is but he stole my slickdeals post of this lol. Anyway, the knife is cheap enough at $10 but there is substantial vertical blade play, grounded portion that meets the liner lock is not flush when locked open. so you can feel the blade play either grasping the blade or shaking the whole knife while open, :person_facepalming: might just have to return this one, not sure its safe even as a beater.
The color temperature is approximately 5500 K 6000 - 6500K and the flashlight has mode memory. Turbo mode steps down to High after 3 minutes. In Turbo mode, mine gets warm but never too hot to touch. The only real complaint I have about my VG15s is that there is an approximately 1/2 second delay between FireFly mode and Low mode, and approximately a 1/4 second delay between Low and Medium. That is to say, you 1/2 press the button and there is a conspicuous delay between mode changes.
I cannot help but compare this flashlight to my BLF A6 siince the A6, for me, is the gold standard in 18650 tube flashlights. The A6 has a nicer finish (IMHO), better performance, more color temperature options, and more mode options than the VG15S. BangGood now regularly offers A6s from both their Chinese and US stores for under $20. Recently, Bilakos10 provided a BangGood coupon code that brought A6 price down to $17.50 at the Chinese store. (That code is no longer valid.) My point is, the VG15S is a decent flashlight, but there are probably better values available.
Update2: With the coupon, the Lightening Deal price on the VG15S is $13.12. You have to checkout before you see the coupon savings. This deal will be available until 8:15 pm EDT, or until they run out of flashlights.
Update3: My questions to ThorfireDirect about the VG15S:
Is the VG15S crenelated bezel aluminum, stainless steel, or some other metal?
How many amps does the LED draw during Turbo Mode?
What is the LED's color temperature?
Thanks!
Their reply:
The bezel of VG15S is make of stainless steel.
3 A on Turbo Mode.
The color temperature of the VG15S light is 6000-6500K.
Wow … snagged one. $13.12 delivered. Many Thanks for the heads up.

Interesting. It seems like it can run on a variety of batteries, provided you can make them fit. It looks like it can boost 1D cell, buck 4s AA. Tempting as an emergency light.
Found another deal, currently at $3.34 add on item. http://a.co/4CZPssb
Aimkon iTP N1 CREE XP-G2 165lm Keychain Flashlight
This is a very nice keychain light that uses 1/3N primary lithium batteries. It is smaller than 10180 lights. Peak output is insane for this size at 165 advertised lumens. My eyeball test says its about 140 real lumens. Unfortunately, 1/3N batteries are expensive and I haven’t been able to find a rechargeable cell to fit. I got one when it was $3.75, and the price fluctuates between that and $20.
