@vresto, it is possible to use protected cells as the current draw is not very high for 4x219Cs at 1200lm.

I just finished running some errands. I will send out in 2-3hrs time. Our AT40 group buy price is $27.99!!
However, there are some things that you guys need to know about AT40 before you make your purchase:
- Light consume about 3A max from tailcap reading on HIGH.
- Actual output seems to lower than 1200lm when I compare to other 1000lm lights. Need to reconfirm again.
- Temperate reaches high temperature of ( XX°/ XX F) in few minutes time.
- Limited modes - Low, Mid, High
- Amutorch is known for their B grade finishing/ quality.
- Plastic aspherical lens. You might be able to look for a replacement if lucky.
- Bezel no sealed.
- Manual in Chinese.
