Interested depending on the price.

question-is possible to use protected?
is it not too low output for 4 nichias? 1200 lumens?looks very nice this torch…

Interested

@vresto, it is possible to use protected cells as the current draw is not very high for 4x219Cs at 1200lm.

Seems inexpensive enough. I’ll take one.

Wait, the tube is titanium and the head is aluminium right?

If so, I am interested in having the light.

Interested.

I just finished running some errands. I will send out in 2-3hrs time. Our AT40 group buy price is $27.99!!

However, there are some things that you guys need to know about AT40 before you make your purchase:

  1. Light consume about 3A max from tailcap reading on HIGH.
  2. Actual output seems to lower than 1200lm when I compare to other 1000lm lights. Need to reconfirm again.
  3. Temperate reaches high temperature of ( XX°/ XX F) in few minutes time.
  4. Limited modes - Low, Mid, High
  5. Amutorch is known for their B grade finishing/ quality.
  6. Plastic aspherical lens. You might be able to look for a replacement if lucky.
  7. Bezel no sealed.
  8. Manual in Chinese.

I’m actually looking for a 3A light and not more, for using an Optisolis quad in it, so the limited power is an advantage for me.

With the lens as a flooding optic, scratching it will not be harmfull to the beam, it may even improve it over time.

It looks like the bezel can be sealed with 1 or 2 o-rings, a bit weird that it is not designed like that.

Isnt 3A too much for the Optisolis which Clemence said should be limited to 0.5A each emitter so we should be looking at 2A. I also wonder if the screw locations will fit the 21mm optisolis board. Freeme do you know the diameter of the pcb?

750mA per led is steep but my test shows that they can handle it, at least for a short while

I’m not going to use an Optisolis board but a 20mm XM-board, like I did with my S2+ with Optisolis.

Nichia vs XP-G3

If the response is good for AT40, i will get them to prep for AL1.

freeme, how much moddable is the light? Is there room to use a Carclo optic + lens above the MCPCB?
Also, is the driver: a) 20mm diameter and b) glued ?

BTW, what do you mean by “B finishing grade”?

Thank you in advance

Some measurements for references. Carclo Quad Optic is 24mm x 7.5mm from Hank's site.

My unit did come with minor dings. Some people may feel that this is "unacceptable" for modern manufacturing.

Thanks for the info. It may actually work with the 20mm 4x noctigon boards or the 21mm optisolis boards from clemence. Probably need a washer under the screw, but there will be a annular gap so might not be pretty.
