Filled out form, in for two conversion kits, reflector and glass lens.
Edited my form - now in for 2 upgrade kits.
form completed for 1 kit , thanks
At this pace we will need battery tube couplers in no time. Especially if there are real plans to make a GT with four or five xhp70.2s :smiling_imp: Will there be a poll how many emitters will be used in the next BLF GT project? :smiling_imp:
If you guys are talking about 5 xhp70.2 and 12 cells, then i am in⌠lol.
Why limit yourself to 12 cells if you can have 16 cells ? Multiple xhp70.2s are hungry
All I can say is that a âmore extremeâ light is in the works. Far to early for anything more then that at this point.
Lumintop could easily manufacture an extension⌠I donât think it will cost muchâŚ
why limit to 18650 only, how about 21700 or even 26650? tube size may be bigger, so is the capacity.
Because 18650 battery carriers are already designed⌠less workâŚ
I actually saw one guy from blf was going to design an extension for the blf gt⌠I donât know what happenedâŚ
Yep⌠:+1: And at this point in time 18650 is far more popular than 26650 which is far more popular than 21700.
That may or may not change in years to come⌠time will tell.
Here is a link to the 3rd battery carrier design for the blf gt.
Bringing this topic to its own post. Iâm looking into having a local machine shop make battery tube couplers to be able to run 3 battery carriers for the BLF GT. At this point, this is strictly to gauge interest for now. Once I actually receive my BLF GT in the next batch and take measurements, I can have the couplers made. Price will depend on quantity made, so the more I make the cheaper it will be. This will be for the coupler only at this time. Buying another battery carrier from Lumintop âŚ
I rather see lumintop make an extension⌠so all the pattern will match up.
Signed up for a conversion kit.
I am just about ready to Sign up for one conversion kit
(still trying to figure what I want / need to order)
hopefully the neutral tint will be in the 5000k-5500k range?
with a âwow light beamâ
(or should I choose the cool white for this?)
I would add an extra bat carrier
-* if* a battery tube coupling can be purchased (so I can actually use it/ lol)
do I need a spare reflector and lens?
not sure why people a getting them?
(or will these just collect dust in a box like my short tube w no coupler?) :person_facepalming:
if we change our mind can we add parts later as needed?
(I really donât know enough to make the best informed decision and this will be my first mod - but I can solder! )
I wish they would offer the engine and button section
( so I could simply switch back and forth if desired )
will this mod still throw the light for approx. a mile ?
; if ya canât fix it with a hammer,
youâve got an electrical problem
â
Some people want an extra reflector and lens. If you dont, that is okay.
Orders can be changed later.
The throw distance is ANSI-FL1 rated 1400-1500 meters. This is conservative and is also dependant on the emitter chosen. With a sliced dome it should be well over 1 mile. A CW emitter might even bump it up even farther.
Has anyone with a GT70 prototype compared it to the Thrunite TN40 or a BTU SuperShocker? I would be very interested in such results.
