Wow the purple and orange looks great! I especially like the orange as it looks nearly identical to my copper S2+ host. I wonder why they don’t sell host only versions.
A little birdie told me the hosts would eventually be available, but I also suspect Simon will sell you a host if you send him a message.
I just realized none of the images or descriptions for the new colors mention a clip - are clips not included with these lights like they are with the other colors?
I just asked Simon and he said we can order these host at this site for the red host and just note “color” body in the comment.

Has anyone asked when the shorty 18350 tubes will be available?
I just received my purple and orange S2+ host. They look even better than in the pictures. I was afraid the colorful ones would look cheap but it actually looks very nice premium feel. The orange looks even much better than the copper convoy S2+. I’m guessing that’s why I read Simon wasn’t very happy with his first batch of copper hosts. I still like the copper though for the heat sinking performance.
Orange does looks great. One package in mail today.

Dunno the actual timeframe.
I’d love to see some photos of the orange lights that people have received while I wait for the blimp to make it to Canada with mine!

Did someone say S2+ army? I don’t know about that, but I’ve probably got at least a brigade here…

Also received two of the new colors yesterday.
Based on how people are describing the orange S2, I’m glad I didn’t went trough with my offer to by the prototype (mainly because it have a rubber tailcap instead of the metal button) and purchased a listed one instead. Will be my first S2 with a metal button, so let’s see how I like it. It’s not like I have to add something orange to make it pop (like all my other S2+s)

Now that’s a rainbow…with some interesting differences.
Aside from only the clear and desert sand having the clip groove in the head,
-the two new colors are clearly a bit taller than the rest, perhaps due to resting on the knotted portion of the wood?
-the tailcap for the metal switch is slightly taller than the soft version, which is most apparent in the knurled section
-the switches on the orange/purple and the clear sit proud of the switch body, perhaps due to newness and being a drawer queen, respectively? Maybe even the sand as well.
My favorite is the copper. It’s gorgeous.
Looks to me like the difference is in the knurled section of the tail, most noticeable in the pic between the purple and copper.
All those colors… it’s like a don’t-ask-don’t-tell S2+ army. 
I just ordered a coupla purple ones. The orange looks really nice, too.
