Anyone got a zanflare T1 lantern?

Has anyone tried modding their T1?

In many ways it’s good light for me….

  • like the format (though 21700 would be better)
  • like the price (a lot)
  • like CCT (a lot)
  • accept the UI (though that’s definitely not my favourite)

But I despise how it doesn’t incorporate high-cri LEDs.
For a lantern I require at least 90 and highly prefer at least 9080.

I wonder if LED swap would be feasible….

Although high CRI would be nice, I’m a bit of a tint and CRI snob, I run the lantern around 3500K and have to say the light emitted is pretty tolerable, perhaps it’s the mixing of the two different LED spectra.

Unfortunately the Zanflare T1 is discontinued. So not available anymore.

Yes the $22.99 one,

But this one is merely “Out of Stock”.

This lantern appears to be more popular than expected. Gearbest cannot keep up with demand.

I am keeping my fingers crossed to receive the two I ordered on June 20th

Did you order your’s with the Freeme group buy? I heard they were delayed, but didn’t hear they were discontinued

Oh yeah. I did get a “shipped out” message! For what that’s worth.

U.S. lanterns have begun to arrive…. Got mine today…… charging now ~

+5 on the ramping speed, a little slower would be much better.

Not a deal breaker but annoying.

I would have preferred Zanflare use top button for ramping and On/Off. And botton button for Red and color blending (both which are done less often).

Otherwise great value and worth having.

Mine arrived and I love it. Compact, smaller than I imagined it, nice feeling, ramping could be smoother but nothing too annoying, has a strong magnet that easily keeps its weight, has enough power to light a room comfortably, seems perfect to use a few to light a house in case of power shortage and even the included battery seems good with 72 mOhm internal resistance (an unprotected NCR18650B already married it but still). I will test it in camping use for two weeks next month and see… It burns? It melts? It breaks easily? Manages being plugged-in and working for hours with/without battery? We’ll see.
As it seems now, I will, probably, order at least a couple more.

I used mine to light up a large 9 person tent this past weekend. It worked very well.

A 9 person tent!?

That’s a Big Top.

I still gotta get the hang of the UI, but in the meantime I just keep it stuck on WW and leave it.

Yeah, would be really nice to be able to turn it off with a coupla taps, rather than having to lift it up, find the button, and press’n’hold.

I lied, it’s an 8-person tent, but you know how they size them up - 8 people in it would be like sardines in a can. But it was comfortable for 3. 6’10” center height is nice, too.

here is what it looks like inside, mine arrived DOA, so i broke it open before i threw it out, i got a full refund and have another one on the way

Thanks Plat, interesting photo. :+1:

Mine arrived today and works great. Just as advertised, it’s a nice lantern and love the touch to dim top feature. Wasn’t dark enough to test before my son took it to bed but all th functions worked.

That’s nearly 100 LEDs on there, must be rather inexpensive ones. Looks like they maybe add a red one just to give some red color?

Mine is stuck “on”
the switch turns on the red, red blink along with all the other leds butt will not turn it off.
same thing with or without the battery installed (usb cable)
the touch control seems to try to switch tint butt can’t overcome the total output

I’ve had 2 for a few months now. So far no problems. I love them.

I am really liking mine too. So far no problems at all.
