(prototype) the GT Mini

Awesome photo, steel_1024! :+1:

I’m looking forward to receiving my GT mini.

two more of those beauty shots ;)

but this is my favorite:

The finish looks shinier than on the GT. Did they use the same finish or a different one? Maybe I’m not seeing it right.

The pics in post #1 seem to have a flatter finish which matches the GT.

The logo is definitely better than the old one.

The finish looks almost like the sand convoy c8+ i like that, steel always takes amazing photos of lights.

Lumintop should hire steel maybe to take promo pics of their newest lights.

Amen to that!!! . :+1: … His pictures are works of art….

Front

thats a really good picture steel.

Well, I got the ODF30 apart. As suspected, the switch is attached to the driver and it has the same indexing ears as the GT Mini.

It was an absolute pain to get apart requiring a vice, heat gun and rubber strap wrench. I have pictures in my ODF30 thread. It’s a Boost driver, so that part is obviously not similar to the Buck driver in the GT Mini.

I really hope Lumintop doesn’t glue it, or at least uses something weaker than this blue thread locker.

Welcome to watch, GT mini rich photos……

More beautiful photos from steel_1024 in that thread!

They include our first glimpse at the driver. I hope steel_1024 doesn’t mind if I link them here:

interested in 1. what do I need to do to get one?

2 for me!

Originally, members were signing up via the form in the first post of M4DM4X’s group buy thread.

He recently said that public sales would start on Tuesday July 17, and that the password to purchase would be removed then.

It appears the GT mini is now listed publicly on the Neal’s Deals page of M4DM4X’s site.

thats correct!

please keep in mind the free flashlight draw includes orders until 22nd ;)

so what driver is the mini gt using then, good or bad ?

This is not the buck driver that we were promised with…
I bought it BECAUSE it was supposed to be regulated at 4,5A…
I don’t care for a hotrod, if the final version is a FET+1 driver it’s overpriced

Ordered one… :+1:

i hope i get answer to that question soon

Neal told me shipping starts next week - so you have a few days left to cancel
please use neal@m4dm4x.com to contact him for the refund.

That is most certainly not a buck driver, and I’m no longer excited for this light. It’s effectively a D1S that looks like a GT.

Regardless of whether this makes more sense with the factory emitter, what I was really looking forward to is putting a Nichia 119D/219D in one. Those emitters have a glass plate between the phosphor and the dome that’s very promising for dedomed performance in a thrower. They also have quite low forward voltage, making a FET driver pretty much a non-option.
