Do you have a set already? That is exactly what I am hoping for, I love the 219c except for the green in the tint, I can’t even look at them anymore because of that.
The funny part is I loved them at first and even built S2+’s for my whole family with them a few Christmases ago. I am now trying to find a good replacement and plan to upgrade all those lights for this Christmas. They love them but I can’t stand it lol.
Yes I do. I bought 6 of them a few months ago, sent 1 to DBSAR for testing in the BLF lantern, reflowed one on my TK15, and plan to reflow 4 of them once I get to it on the Q8.
Now, if I could actually find the TK15 with the gorgeous 4000k LH351D, I would be delighted to post beamshots. I hope I didn’t lose it in my own home :person_facepalming:
That 4000k 219C of yours was from that super premium $700 light right? Thatbis probably a special tint bin because typical 4000k 219c are no where near that rosy and more on the greenish side. But your pic makes the 351D tint look mediocre. I wonder if this new batch of 351D will look any different.
Nope! Just Modded S41 with 219c LEDs from clemence. 351D 4000k from last batch of GB. Here is side by side picture. Both lights adjust to same brightness. WB set at 5000k.
Oh yeah these look like it. Extremely rare unless you buy 6400 of them… haha.
I do wonder why Nichia has such few distributors, and why they want such high bulk quantities, unlike Samsung and Cree which have multiple suppliers and sources.
I already tried this. They won’t give any information for the few they have in stock. All they do is put you in touch with the Nichia rep who will happily sell you a reel of 1500 of your choosing.
I assumed you knew about them since they are in your province. Have you checked their address? Shipping should be quick for you.
I’m not sure if they sell to individuals or if you need to set up an account. Their minimum order quantities vary depending on product, they may have a minimum dollar value as well.
They have another website called Future Lighting Solutions. Lots of electronic components and optics as well if the minimum order quantity doesn’t bite you.
