Yes, for practical ranges the XHP70.2 is a more useful light IMHO. I never would of guessed it would make these kinds of numbers.
That sounds good Manny! I would not mind a few pictures of that comparison!

Gave my GT a little personality todayâŚ.

That looks really cool!
How much do they add to the throw?
Nice. Throw distance is less as weight has been added to the light.
Very CoolâŚâŚ now you can clip it to the bill of your hat! :+1:
BLF GT Pocket Edition:
Thatâs what Iâm talking about waffle_stomperâŚ. Looking GOOD!!! .
Thatâs the Texas_Ace prototype that was sent to vestureofblood, right?
I wonder why he put that comic sans âGâ on there? It reminds of that prototype that said Giggles.

I had not even noticed the âGâ, but you are exactly right⌠it sure does look like âGigglesâ. :+1:

Yeah, and VOB has a lathe. I thought he might have shortened it and cut new threads. Now that I think about it, it doesnât really make sense for him to cut down the double length tube.

I sent him a PM to ask about the G. This was his response:
I tried to write âGigglesâ on it but I ran out of room
Definitely a nod to the prototype.
The battery tube hasnât been cut down - itâs a 3D printed part. Note that itâs missing the o-rings.
Nope, my light is still safe and sound with me, I still love the giggles engraving on it.
I did post the laser engraving file for the GT so I am guessing someone else used it to engrave their own.
Does it count if you measure the lux at 5m or should I be measuring it from farther away
Cause my GT gets 1,235,000 cd at 5m

5m is fine, usually the readings are a bit higher at 10m.

^That.
5 meter is bit short, you may be off a few percent, some people even claim that 20 meter is not enough for good collimation and thus correct measurement. And technically they are correct.
But then I claim that the error of their luxmeters is more significant than the difference of measuring between 5m and 40m.
Moreover, the focuspoint of not all GTâs is at infinity as it should be, so if you have a very unlucky GT, the best collimation could even be at 5m.
