Fireflies ROT66 Flashlight

Boy, that really looks nice but sorry, not for $98.00.

Nice light fireflies!

With great emitters of course (but I can do emitters myself), but the form factor, build and looks are great too!

Very desirable

The super popular Noctigon Meteor came out at $128 for the XPG2 emitters and doesn’t even make as much lumens as this one. Their XP-L Hi version cost $180 for people who wanted to squeeze more lumens out of the M43. $98 is not a bad price at all considering how well it performs (on paper at least). This is the brightest 3 cell flashlight I’ve seen, has Narsil UI, and very attractive premium look. High quality, well designed products cost more money than run of the mill bargain products. That’s why iphones cost more than other phones because of heavy R&D cost and premium materials.

People always want highest quality and the best of everything yet don’t want to pay for it. High quality products are more expensive to produce and manufacturers develop products to sell for profit not for charity.

$98 is well out of my budget for a single flashlight (for now :stuck_out_tongue: ) but assuming it is as promised, it seems like good value when compared against similar lights.

i am very interested

I def want a Nichia version! I placed an order for one.

219Bs are normally a little rosy, but this is the sw45k tint bin, which is very rosy, plus R9080 CRI bin, which is better than the usual R9050.

This is a very rare emitter. I’m surprised and pleased to see it offered on the first product from a new manufacturer, especially along with Narsil firmware. I’m really curious as to who’s behind this company and what their ties are to the flashlight community. One does not come out of nowhere and design a light like this.

Yep I wonder the same thing. It is like a flashlight lover’s dream light come true but coming from an unheard of brand. I also wonder where they get the ultra rare 9080 219B nichias that is not available anywhere besides from Clemence in limited quantities.

I ordered the 219B version with gold. This will render my Astrolux MF01 and Noctigon M43 obsolete.

Tint looks very nice

The flashlight is beautiful. When the group buy at a better price, i buy the flashlight.

The M43 is at least constant current with its boost driver so there is something unique there.

I did not hear anyone mention this, unless I missed it.

I went on the website and noticed.

$98 for Nichia 219B-V1

+ $20 for XPL HI CW

+ $25 for XPL HI NW

How did you get it so soon or is this from another flashlight?

Not my firefiles Rot66, the photo is from Firefiles’ FB.

Neal has gotten his today and he likes it ;)

to you who ordered, did it indicate how long the shipping would take?

Also, do people really like ‘VERY ROSY’??? Doesn’t work for me, guess I prefer the cheap emitters :frowning:

this thread should grow……

Oh no, another Chinese company with the word “Fire” in it.

The owner of Fireflies is the same as Enogear. The paypal payment went to the same person as the two Enogear purchases I made. For those that never heard of it, here’s a thread regarding the Enogear Stainless Steel AA/14500 flashlight that is well loved here. I bought one too but unfortunately mine along with a few others reported their Enogear AA/14500 got fried by using 14500. Jackie hopefully has my replacement in transit right now, which he promised me. Otherwise, the Enogear Stainless Steel was much better than expected for the price (nice rosy tint also).

If shipping is the same as Enogear, then it is slow like a turtle. Expect 1.5 to 2 months for it to arrive.

nice looking light, can’t wait until someone from BLF make a review of it

Some people do like that, yes. I have a couple of these emitters, and while I don’t want every flashlight to be that way, I enjoy it.

I’d like to see another high-CRI option for those who don’t enjoy that. The Samsung LH351D would be a good choice.
