AmazonBasics AAA Performance Alkaline Batteries

Anyone tried the subject batteries, and if so how do they compare with others you have used? I have been using Sunbeam Alkalines from the dollar store, but today they were out of AAA alkalines.
Thanks, Jerry

What are you going to use them for?

If it’s for remote controls and such, I would just buy the 20 pack of Amazon Basics AAA batteries shipped.

Why not get the rechargeable batteries? Shipped of course….

Strangely enough, aside from Rayovac alkies, which have almost never sprung a leak on me (much unlike Duraleak and/or Enerleakers), I’ve had incredible luck with plain ol’ Rat Shack AAs/AAAs.

As I’ve mentioned here probably a brazillion times already, I unearthed a coupla hunnert cells in unopened packages from probably almost a decade ago. Duraleaks and Enerleakers would’ve been one solidified salty mass by now, but the RS cells are… good! 1.6V out of the box, powered my TK4A and SP10A and bobofett light (RIP) just fine, and would only leak when bobofett used to wring them dry in pretty much moonlight-only brightness.

There was just a 1-day sale, 10bux for a 36-pak or however many come in a brick, either AA or AAA. Well worth it, if you’re going disposable.

You can probably sign up for their email promos (not at all intrusive, maybe 1/month if that) and look for their sales.

In gifts.AC Delco looks to be better.

For AA and AAA, I only use high quality LSD NiMH cells.

They're not that expensive, and they last a good long time.

Do you give them away with a flashlight to ladies who need to see to their car at night?

I have plenty of the rechargeable amazon batteries. They have been great except i had one nimh rechargeable leak on and giving 0 volts. Anyone have this happen?

Rayovac produced alkaline batteries for Radio Shack off and on over the years, so it’s entirely possible that the nearly 10 year old cells came off the line in Fennimore, Wisconsin. Same formula as Rayovac, just with a different label.

Even better, the older black wraps with white/green lettering (ie, really ancient) are still cranking, and the newer white’n’orange wraps seem to be just as good.

Like I said, Duraleaks and Enerleakers would’ve been one big solid salty mass at this point.

I still have a pack of unopened Rayovacs somewhere that I didn’t unearth yet. Probably would be just as good.
