The Skilhunt DS16 is 31% off, bringing it to $23.45. Since everyone likes the H03 so much.
A user contacted me and told me the 348 I had on my last post was not using the claimed LED. Still waiting on mine but for now assume that light has the 219C.
Have a good weekend and ask if you are looking for deals on any other lights or recommendations and I will do my best to help. As always, these links are affiliate links.
A few new products showed up. No huge deals, but all worth a look. Most of these include batteries and built in charging, which is good for new users.
On The Road M3 Pro at $34.57, an Olight clone with USB-C charging and an included 16340 battery.
Wuben TO40R at $49.99 with included cell and built in charging.
Wuben TO46R at $52.99, a triple with included cell and built in charging.
Wuben L50 at $35.65 with included cell and built in charging.
Wuben A21 at $149, a ramping light with included 21700 cell, built in charging, and an XHP70.
Wuben E01 at $13.99, small AAA light. Not the best emitter used.
Flashlight watch at $9.99. I don't actually suggest anyone buy this, but it was ridiculous enough to share with the community. Comes with compass, charging, and 4 light modes. Unspecified brand and LED. Again, do not actually recommend doing anything other than looking at this.
Hi Everyone! Here's your weekly update on the hottest deals on GearBest, as well as some new products that might be interesting.
Deals
The Skilhunt H03 is discounted 21%, bringing it to $31.99.
The Nitecore HC60 Neutral White is discounted 21%, bringing it to $49.99. For an extra $9 over the Skilhunt, this has more throw, an included cell, and a standard USB charging connection.
The Convoy S2+ UV is discounted 17%, bringing it to $23.99. Great for scorpion hunting, rocks, and curing UV glue. Did you know that UV reactivity is used in gemology to grade stones?
The Skilhunt H03 RC is discounted 25%, bringing it to $40.99. Last week these deals ran out quickly, this headlamp is quite popular.
The Nitecore TIP CRI is discounted 37%, bringing it to $15.99. So far, high CRI keychain lights are a favorite among those reading my posts.
The Convoy C8+ is discounted 17%, bringing it to $19.99.
The BLF 348 is discounted 35%, bringing it to $5.99. I have confirmed this uses the 219C, not the 219B.
New Releases
The Folomov B5M 26650 flashlight/powerbank for $79.00. Complete kit with cell included. If you are in the US, this light is around this price on Amazon as well and they may ship faster.
The Folomov B4M 18650 flashlight/poewrbank for $52.00. Complete kit with cell included.
The Folomov A1 launched with a 45% discount, bringing it to $5.99. This is one of the smallest and most versatile powerbank/chargers, although HKJ noted the termination voltage when charging is a bit low. Great to toss in a bag.
The On The Road M3 Pro 16340 light with usb-C charging for $24.79. There are also versions that include cells.
As always, feel free to ask if you're looking for recommendations or for deals that are not on this list. In addition to finding deals, I can always reach out to my contacts at GearBest to see if they can make you a coupon on certain items. If you find anyone getting in to the hobby and looking for a place to start, feel free to send them my way as well.
This week’s update will be my last post of the month, so I decided to do something a bit different. The links in this post will still be affiliate links from GearBest. What’s changed is the format.
I’m betting most of you following these posts have picked up some of the recurring deals. GearBest often has some high CRI keychain lights and a few good headlamps that are always good deals. Most of you have bought a BLF-348, a TIP CRI, and a Skilhunt H03 (or the RC variant). So for this week, I’m going to post some lights you can use to find something unique and round out the selection.
Lights made from other metals
Aluminum is popular because it’s strong, light, and a good conductor. For those of you that don’t think it’s stylish, or that are too hipster to have the same material as everyone else, here are some options.
Rofis MR50 uses a new 21700 cell and has micro USB out, for more capacity than an 18650 while being slimmer than a 26650. The included battery is the same capacity as the one with the B5M.
Rofis MR70 again uses a 26650, with two separate LEDs for flood and throw
Lights that aren’t tubes
Sometimes you want different shapes in your collection. Aside from the keychain lights mentioned above, these are worth a look. And they won’t roll away on you.
Nitecore MT22A, a dual AA light with the cells side by side
Mecarmy FL02, I’m not even sure how to describe this shape.
That’s all for now! Hopefully you can find something that’s nothing like what you already have somewhere in this list. Comment below with the unique lights that didn’t make it on to this list. Maybe I can find something to round out my collection as well!
GearBest asked me to share a promotion they’re running, the Utorch SF01 is on sale for $9.99 with the code GBUtorchSF01. This light claims to be compatible with CR123, AA, and AAA batteries, which would make it a great backup light.
Not enough details to know about the UI or internals but as far as being able to use cr123a, AA and AAA batteries, the SF01 would appear to be a copy of the Streamlight Protact 1L-1AA, which does take cr123a and AA (and possibly AAA although with a little wiggle.)
The springs seem to be “big” to be shrunk, so maybe it can take all of the 3 types!
I assume that it would only be good for AAs or AAAs (in my case) as CR123s are expensive and it doesn’t seem to be compatible with Li-Ion’s :zipper_mouth_face:
Hi to all, i received my Utorch SF01 yesterday, and i’m being testing it.
I can confirm that it work with AA, AAA and CR123A. It’s a bit tricky to put in the AAA, you have to center it well to make electric contact but once closed i can shake it hard without any problem( a very stiff spring keep it in place).
The LED seem a cool white Cree XP-G2( in the manual title says CREE XR-G2, gearbest says XR-E, maybe a mix of XR-E with XP-G2 ), I tried to unscrew the head but didn’t managed to, yet!
This flashlight really is a streamlight copy it even has the same TEN-TAP® Programming from streamlight:
three different operating programs:
high/strobe/low 2) high only 3) low/high
Visually i only see the two differences from the PROTAC 1L-1AA, the knurling in the tail cap and having just 3 instead of 4 fins around the head.
Tail cap currents:
CR123A:
High 0.884 A
Low 0.335 A
AA:
High 1.41 A
Low 0.430 A
